Oh yes, Katrina’s life and career was going nowhere until she met Salman. Otherwise she would have been relegated to doing C grade films.

I’m not saying Salman made her career but in the initial stages he did protect her in the sense from the big bad Bollywood guys and advised on how to take her career.

Her ethnicity is very ambiguous. She has a British Passport though but grew up in many countries.

Katrina is not related to India in anyway. The whole Kashmiri father with Kaif surname is all a big fat lie. Jackie Shroff’s wife made up the Kaif surname before Boom release coz Mohammad Kaif the cricketer was famous at that time.

It is very commendable for a complete foreigner to make such a big name in a new country. Kudos to her hard work.

Thank you for the full explanation, this is exactly the answer I was looking for. It seems like such an open secret what her ethnicity is but info is still hard to find if you don't know exactly where to look.
