To avoid nepotism as being the nephew of Francis Ford Coppola, Nicolas Kim Coppola changed his last name to Cage
Since when did Sophia Coppola turn into a director? I remember her pathetic acting gig as Michael Corleone's daughter in Godfather III

This is when the nepotism debate gets interesting for me. She was terrible actor and received so much flak rightfully. But she’s considered a good director. So is nepotism okay if the product is good?Originally posted by: aparnauma

anyone who gives who answers and they say sometimes clearly is fickle
she was rejected as an actor on the basis of nepotism and her poor acting. But has been embraced as a director for almost two decades now. Isn’t that fickle or is nepotism valid if the talent justifies itOriginally posted by: Maroonporsche

I have no strong opinions about nepotism. It is a fact that they get their first chance easily but after that you are on your own.
Don't see anything wrong in a parent trying to make their child's path easier. Every parent does that for their children in their own capacity. But the children have to prove themselves to the world.
What are the other directorial ventures of Sophie Coppola?
