So phupha is not just a corrupt lawyer but also a domestic abuser. Hitler dadi has surely found the best SIL. I guess she's ok with such minor discrepancies as long as he takes care of Poddar firm. That woman don't care about anyone.. not her sons nor her daughter. I think she prefers Rohit because Vidya butters her up nicely. The entire Poddar household is a house of cards waiting to collapse. Abhira will bring out of the issues they have hid in Hitler dadi's khauf.

I can give two reasons:

1) He's a misogynistic piece of trash like his sasu maa. So how dare anyone go against them.

2) He has a nice brain and knows that Abhira will never be a doormat like the rest of the Poddar clan. Without any relationship, she inspired Armaan to go against the people he basically worshipped. So as his wife she'll make him see the true face of those around him.

B - I won't be surprised if she is aware of all these things.

The cruel part of this story is, Kajal is suffering all these pain in her own maayka rather than sasural. And no one is there for support despite that it's her own home. Poddars are no less than Goenkas.
