He is obviously getting sympathy support and a segment of Ankita fans is also voting for him. Honestly, looking back at the last two weeks, I don’t think anyone has had a better image makeover than Vicky. Early in the season, Vicky had two things going against him:

1. He was coming across as a manipulative liar. He was in the dislike list of almost every casual viewer because of how he was playing.
2. He was coming across as a disrespectful husband, saying problematic things to wife. He was also very disrespectful towards Sana. Ankita supporters hated him for this.

He was liked by a few for being a good player but then hatred column had at least 10x more viewers. Now via constant interruptions to his game, BB has successfully garnered sympathy for Vicky. The same people who were hating his scheming games now sympathise with him (including a lot of us). At the same time, he is being portrayed as a caring and loving husband. The very same Ankita supporters who were abusing him for treating her the way he did, are now rooting for him for both being there for her and because they feel BB is biased against him and Ankita. BB has successfully created this narrative of being against Vicky, which will keep getting him support.

This is what I call a ‘soft image makeover’. This is not the first time BB has done this for a contestant. Having said all this, the ball is still in his court. If he continues playing a safe game, he will lose trust of many of his core supporters. Yesterday is a prime example of the type of game he has played since day 1. He could have nominated so many people but chose to go after Chintu that too with such a stupid logic that Ankita had to intervene. But again, in all the BB interruptions, we probably forgot that that’s the game he always played. Just that BB interrupting him made us sympathise with him.
