Well virat respected Sai and vice versa frm what I've seen, sai was very fierce and outspoken so she got into trouble with her in laws from day 1 but initially virat always supported her as her only aim was to complete her medical studies . Virat got her admitted in a medical school in his city ..

She married virat on this condition that she will leave him once she becomes a doctor..virat I think fell in love with her first , she too started liking him but held bk because of pakhi ..pakhi passively , later , actively,openly & shamelessly tried to sabotage their marriage . Virat was also soft on her & sai didnt like it...From the very beginning , Sai knew about their history, and she always called pakhi out for her foolish ideas ..I dun think love story was their focus anytime ..it took them a long time to confess .
