But if it is a quiet new show then channel gives time as it will not have fan base. So it will take time to build a fan base.

But legacy shows will not have such option as they are getting fan base served in platter. If they could not hold such massive fan base then it shows failure of the season. Channel already knows how gen 3 went and they can also compare it with previous season openings and response. Gen 4 is getting constant backslash on social media. All fans are against it as they have lost trust on PH. Channel can not keep a show and loose all its fanbase to rival shows. As if they start new show again it will take time to build fanbase. The sooner they axe legacy shows the more they will get benefit. Like legacy fans will continue tuning into same channel and if the show is good it can still stay on top.
