Site Updates and Issues Discussions #7 DT note: 122 - Page 98

Today I noticed a series of Articles that are just episode summaries for a daily drama, no news or opinion or analysis. Are IF's staff authors supposed to use the Article feature for this purpose?

With six of these in one week, the News section below the forum page has only two actual news articles about TRP and a former lead actress visiting the set, and an important article about a fatal accident on set has been bumped off the short list.

Each of these Episode Summary articles is getting hundreds of reactions, and I commend the effort the author puts into writing with near-perfect accuracy, grammar, and spelling, choosing images, and formatting.

The forum already has a Coolbie starting a Written Update & Daily Discussions Thread every day or two, usually in the late evening (IST), by which time members who caught the episode a day early in other time zones have already analyzed it in their own favourite topics (e.g. lead actor's appreciation thread). So, the Coolbie's faithful service to the forum only crowds the first page with zero-reply topics.

Articles that appear in the early afternoon (IST) are scooping the Written Update & Daily Discussions Thread. So, I think the articles' author should work with the Coolbie to attract members to the forum, keeping one pinned topic going to 150 pages instead of posting a new topic every day.

Please consider the above suggestions so that we can convey our thoughts to more people by tagging and by using emojis in our posts..

Dear Vijay Sir,

Recently some things have been occurring in IF which has led me to make this comment.

Can the blocking system be improved a little? For example, if I block someone I want them not to see my posts at all.

Also, the subtle plagiarism that takes place, what measures can be taken to eradicate this? Especially if one person is accused by multiple people/ multiple instances - should there be an overwatch method?

Because the moment I mention my stories getting copied, I am advised to go and post in blog with password or other methods. But then why are we here in IF? It used to be a safe place for us writers. And I want to post here only and reach everyone without the hazard of a million other steps in between.

I sincerely hope this matter will be explored. Thank you.

Your suggestions of adding 🙄🤮and a few others, were very much discussed and debated by Vijay and his selection team when this feature was implemented . The general opinion was it will be most likely misused by those having opposite opinions in forums and also very discouraging for FF writers n other creative members , hence it was voted against .

We request you to kindly use them in your replies .
how ever when the next update / revision of the feature is carried out, this will be reconsidered .

Even i wanted to post about adding in post reactions but got your point....

How aabout a 250 day visit streak badge? We have badges for 500 , 750 and 1000 , we should have one for 250 days too...
