Anyways, People are deliberately missing points and settling their old scores with TM and involving me in that mess 🙄 please spare me continue your game with them, if they allow you

My stand is pretty clear -

1 Indian constitution allows you to do something, go do it. I am none to stop you

2 The movie didn't present Vijay as a villain and celebrated Bobby's character too so the narrative that Vanga made the movie to make you hate both characters is false...

3 People celebrating box office numbers aren't sexist or misogynistic. I am old enough to understand the difference between them. I am not going to hate on them

4 I have no hopes from Vanga or other sexist or misogynistic people so don't think I am looking for a solution and with current scenario, I don't think there's any solution to it.

See my previous response to Petrichor.

a) Venga has glorified the hero. Hero must not be celebrated. We should denounce.

b) Collections are separate from the content.

c) Those praising collections do not advocate for the movie.

d) Audience must be able to differentiate between glorification of the hero from presenting him as the villian.

e) Venga must be able to make his movies abd frame narratives for his movies because it's his constitutional right.

f) Viewers should also watch what ever they want and frame their opinions because it's their constitutional right.

These are all the points you made. If you believe in e and f, there's no point standing for a and d. If you believe in b and d, then a and d comes in conflict because the movie does not give you a choice to differentiate, it wants you to bare your soul for the hero as the one and true man. So much mental gymnastics man.

I love how some are claiming the makers and actors are the only ones to blame when supposed feminists are literally celebrating this movie. The money made by Vanga comes from the wallets of the audience. The defenders understand it all right but are faking sleep now.

Yeah, and Nora said, some of it is to settle old scores. smiley36

I guess they tussled with me on some topic and went away dissatisfied with the outcome. So now even supporting the absolutely indefensible like women's right to support glorification of violence on women. God bless y'all smiley36

Thankyou for having a mature perspective and differentiating between celebrating an actor vs a movie......I have said it a few times before also that I may not like the movie but I am going to watch it for my Bira's amazing acting.....people have a problem with it.....be my guest....I will offer you Pepto-Bismol to soothe your upset stomach...

I was never a feminist and never will be one.....especially this modern toxic feminism has put me totally off of it....I will stand by the wronged person irrespective of their gender...stop shaming people for their choices..

Next time there is a discussion on some atrocity on women, let's remember *Bira's acting* which promoted this mindset.

You mean you are going let the culprit away by blaming it on the movie?? Wah...Its like saying that the woman got raped because of the revealing dress she wore....not the rapists fault...

smiley36Nice try. The people who are celebrating the movie, the WOMEN/FEMINISTS who are celebrating the movie are the victims?

They're the ones enabling this kind of mindset.

So enable Vanga and Ranbir and then claim common cause with the actual victims. Celebrate *Bira's* acting. When the next woman gets attacked, the enablers are not at all to blame. Not Ranbir or Vanga, either. No one is to blame when society is to blame.

The person raping/molesting/attacking a woman is the one responsible.....don't try to shift the blame elsewhere......this is why this kind of feminism is not only toxic but delusional as well......

Imagine someone reading the excuses given here....attacks a woman and gets away by saying...its Ranbir's fault???smiley29

This is an adult rated movie....and adults are not responsible for their acts......do you know a person with a rapist mindset will rape even an 80 year old woman or an 8 month old baby?? They don't need to watch a movie to get encouraged......I am not even understanding what you guys are trying to prove in the name of feminism??smiley5

I read that a stalker in Australia was let go free because he blamed his stalking on BW movies......now I understand why??? This thread is a living example....smiley29
