I understand calling out the hypocrisy though. I even agree with it. Ranveer Singh got dragged through the wringer last year for posing strategically nude. Same with Deepika and the orange bikini. Yet Ranbir’s blurry ding dong on the big screen doesn’t seem to be an issue. What was everyone’s reaction to all the kissing and love scenes in Gehriyaan? And to Deepika doing those scenes? But Ranbir laying naked on top of Tripti or practically motorboating Rashmika doesn’t seem to have garnered any strong reactions. Ranveer is actually getting dragged again right now for praising Johnny Depp (stupid move btw, wtf was he thinking?) at an event today/yesterday. I can guarantee it that if Animal wasn’t out this weekend Ranbir fans would have gone to town with it.

As for who’s to blame for a movie like Animal? Vanga. Yes the producers and actors brought his idea to fruition. But this is his brain child.

Here’s an old video of Aamir Khan that is very relevant to this topic.

This must have been long ago cause he looks so young. Anyways loved what he said here these people should take responsibility when showing violence and assaults you can’t show things like that without consequences cause impressionable minds might think it’s alright. People have been mimicking films since the beginning of time.

That’s not true. Most often then not it’s something he did or said. He’s probably the actor deserving of whatever dragging he gets smiley36

The solution for this could be education. Right Kind of education. So, as you said women can make informed choices. Forget women it's important even for boys growing up

That's why our curriculum should include chapters on Sex education, Patriarchy, etc

These things start small as curiosity and before you know it we are deep in a puddle

Knowledge leads to right sort of empowerment

No doubt about it. Questions are discouraged in our country. I myself have faced it throughout my school life. ‘Your shoes shouldn’t make sound while walking’, ‘You shouldn’t cover your nose even if the place is stinking’, ‘Don’t laugh loudly’, ‘Don’t talk loudly’. All these rules where I studied, it’s a tier-2 metro city but state board girls’ only school.

Now that I am in a first world country and my kid’s 5 yr old and asking similar questions, I am being cautious in every damn answer. The school encourages such questions and I feel good about it. Earlier I’d be too depressed for not having a daughter. Now I feel fortunate that I have an opportunity to raise one good man in the society. Seeing the celebrations I feel a large part of our demographic men were missing these things which were very usual back in 80s and such movies (Kabir Singh etc.) it feeds to their secret fantasies which they cannot practise in real life anymore in today’s woke world. But they are secretly enjoying it. Such movies are only going to feed those inside satans in them. I strongly and crazily hope NOT though. Adults are not very ‘adults’ if you see people around.

How is he as a husband in real life.

I’m actually curious about her as well.

True feminism is letting the women make their choice....whether it being a choice of not watching a toxic movie....or it is the choice to celebrate the praises showered on their favorite star and his success in the same movie......

warna....aap mein and uss husband mein koi fark nahi hai...who tells his wife....that your place is in the kitchen.....

Right. Such fantasies have always exist right. But I don't think the world we live actually stops people from fullfiling such fantasies. I mean violence against woman is rampant. It has been even before this movie released. One of the most henious crime in India s history took place some 11-12 years before this movie released.

Outrage was there against Kabir Singh as well. But did it help? No. Instead Vanga became even more crazier. That man is crazy. Probably as crazy as somebody like Kanaga. Difference is Vanga s madness is getting lauded as some sort of genius. Why? Because we live in a society that already normalizes this kind of behaviour.

Men like Vanga feed on such outrage. It gives them sadistic pleasure.

The question that should be asked is where does it start? It starts with teenagers girl being taught their orthodox lifestyle is correct.

It's start with Teenage boys surfing internet to watch p*rn. Their curiosity about s*x.

The curiosity itself is not wrong. But curiosity without proper guidance is.

That's why the need of the hour imho is just not social media outrage. It should be -

A) Boycott all such movies including one made by Metoo accuse. Because ultimately for these people it's all about money. You don't give them money such movies will not be mad.

B) Make Sex education and education on patriarchy in our curriculum mandatory.

It will take a lot of time, education and patience to go from one point to another. Generation probably .But it will be start.

Then maybe even we can do something like Barbie.
