I am not on social media and I am not a person who could be influenced by moralizing, one sided, viewpoints. I am capable of weeding out opinion and propaganda in what I read. Since none of us are historians and since we have no option but to rely on online sources (assuming we aren't the library going types either), on topics such as these, I do make an honest attempt to educate myself by reading up impartial sources whose facts are not disputable.

From what I read about the wars/conflicts/disputes between Arab nations and Israel, my understanding was that Arab nations were the aggressors more times than Israel; were they right in rejecting Israel's statehood or attacking Israel in 1948, and again in later years, is not a determination I am capable of making.

U and I have a similar viewpoint on the matter. We seek to search the truth for both sides and without that people don't understand that fighting on opposite end of the spectrum always does not help no one. If both sides have encountered pain, we need to acknowledge that otherwise the rebellion will never cease and the saga will continue further generations and decades down. It is apparent that the duo parties, Palestine and Israelis can live together peacefully and in harmony.

I think this is a positive and glad Betty posted those vids here.

Hmm not sure how you reached this conclusion. There are enough people on both sides that are skeptical of the two-state solution and not in favor of the two-state solution.

In a Gallup poll taken recently, in the months and weeks leading up to the Oct. 7 attack, about one in four Palestinians (24%) living in the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem said they supported a two-state solution to the conflict, with an independent Palestinian state existing alongside Israel. That's just 1 in 4. The support for a two-state solution is even worse in younger Palestinians.

Since there's no God's command/decree smiley1 regarding land ownership, and since UN's proposal was rejected long back by Arab nations, and since the attacks won't stop as Israel's statehood itself is not palatable to most Arabs (Arab nations) in that region, peace is impossible! That's the reality.

Arabs in Israel claim they are happy and enjoy the same rights as the Isreali people. They claim it is the govt that creates problems.

respect for those Jews who toe the palestinian line, disrespect the others. Got it.smiley36

it's like hindus. Respect those who are into appeasement, abuse and use names like fascists for the others who want equal playing field.

quite unlike a brainwashed crowd that mostly sees things the same way, with seldom any variation from the standard intolerant line

the hypocrisy doesn't cease to amazesmiley36

If you take your If you pull of your hate filled blindfold off for Muslims then you can stop tarring everyone with the same brush. From day 1, I have stated I'm against war against anyone. I mourn the loss of life of the Palestinians as well as the Israelis. That's humanity and mine is not selective like yours. Yes I do stand up for Palestinians because there were so many people dying by the second whilst you were rejoicing their deaths.

I may have joined the forum later in posting, but I had seen what was happening and how you went after people tyring to protest for peace and implying they want the extermination of Israelis. Wanting the deaths to stop in a palestine doesn't equate the same to supporting Hamas or letting Hamas off free as you keep trying to tag that fake narrative onto everyone.

You did it with me, and I ignored you. But your repeated nonsense is growing by the hour and sometimes I feel you are getting further inspired my the immature Mids and trolls this forum has encountered, and you have started behaving like them.

Grow up Birdie, going around and vehemently accusing people and assassinating members characters unnecessarily. You played these games with others, don't try that nuisance with me.

If you really have something constructive to say as per your delusions, then go to platforms that will be interesting to hear you.

If your concern and intent was genuine, I would give you the benefit of the doubt as I have open mindedly have done always. I still stand by what I said you are allowed to post the same as everyone else of issues that concern you but that does not give you a free pass to troll people. Getting personal and giving your points is two different things.

IF has always been a pain because this is the very attitude or school kids trying to debate. You are acting like one of them. It's not clever, it's not funny. And it was definately uncalled for.

To answer your question.

Giving respect to everyone, I'm not against Israeli civilians amd they have a right to exist. I do not respect those who are protesting the genocide of Palestinians. I respect these gentleman, who have encountered so much in their lives, but rather than filling their hearts with hate and feeling vengeful for others to meet a similar fate they are trying to save them.

Don't you feel touched by that or are you so out of touch with humanity?

Don't come to me, with your made up narrative of my thought pattern. Whatever I say has full transparency whether I'm being direct or sarcastic so you don't need to dissect my comments looking for agendas that don't exist.

come on carisma2, dont be spinning my position here just so you can get off on your diabtribe against me. The people you talk about "protesting in peace" are actually calling for the extermination of Israel. That's tantamount to committing genocide against the jews. It's the same position as held by the terrorist group hamas. Not a good position to be living in and feeding off the west.

I have not rejoiced at any killing, whether palestinian or israeli. I have only mentioned that wars have collateral damage, and I would rather my guys (as in american soldiers during ww2) lived, than people sending terrrorists or kamakaze fighters. In the real world, we have to face ugly choices, and we have to prioritize. Contrary to your slights against me, that's an adult thought, not a juvenile brainwashed one. I know which way my priorities lie. India has suffered enough at the hands of pak-sponsored terrorists for me to side with any country or people using terrorists as state policy.

and I certainly dont hate muslims. I have had several muslim girlfriends. 2 out of 4 guys instrumental in my going places in my colleges/ career happen to be muslims. But yes, I am against dogmatic interpretations of religious texts, like you have averred being. There seems to be no give in your responses. It's caused a lot of mayhem the world over.

going forward, would appreciate if you refrain from the personal, and stick to the issues raised. No sweat if you want to ignore.

Me neither.

Carishma, look no ones hates muslims as you guys have been accusing us of or else we wouldve definitely namecalled n personally attacked you too to return the favor.

All we want is to understand the mindset for believing in something so blindly

I mean how can a literate person depend on ONE single book or one single entity to explain the entire creation and the purpose behind it when all it does primarily is advise women on how to dress/behave or talk about slaying kaffirs a

Or fight wars and how to distribute war booty etc?

Hard to believe the magical figure who created the sun, the earth, the moon, the mountains, rivers, etc is also in interested in looking after how war booty is shared among his believers.

I know you are not going to answer here anymore but i hope you atleast think about these queries and learn to adress them properly in our next session in future or you can still try of you want. Discussion is still open from my end. smiley1
