Finally, got time to sit down and write about season 4.

I like Abhira, she reminds me a lot about Naira. I like that she says it as it is, even though she goes on and can be irritating a bit. Also, every time Akshara chides Abhira for speaking the truth is a tad bit annoying.

Ruhi is cute and sweet I felt but too naive. I like how adorable she is when it comes to her great-grandparents. But it is quite sad that all she wants in life is to be Ruhi Armaan Poddar. She seems to be very impulsive too. Falling in love, breaking it apart without trying to figure out what went wrong and also jumping into another alliance just like that. Also, the hatred she harbours for Akshara, I hope it is because of the misunderstandings and will be cleared soon enough without being dragged far too long by making her a horrible character.

Armaan, oh god, what is with all these YRRKH male leads? Naitik was a mumma's but thank god he evolved. Karthik was a breath of fresh air, he wasn't bogged down by momma's or grandma's stubbornness and irrationality until later on, when Bhavna and Garima wanted to ruin him. Abhimanyu's beginning itself was problematic, an unhealthy attachment to his mom which ended up ruining his life. Now, there is Armaan who wants love from a horrible dadi. A dadi who never spares a chance to spew derogatory words about his mom and him. Armaan seems to be a nice guy but bring in his dadi, it is extremely sad to see him do things to get her approval.

Rohit again is a cute younger brother. I just hope they won't make a villain out of him.

Now, Goenkas, horrible horrible people. I didn't watch the last few episodes of season 3. But they threw a pregnant Akshara out of the house? How are they any different from Manjari? They are actually worse. And they didn't even bother to find out about her. Leave Akshara, what about Abhir? Don't they want to know about Abhir? Just horrible horrible people. No words!

Let's talk about Poddar family now. Three horrible people in the family are dadi sa, phoopa sa and maa sa in that order. Dadi sa is horrible no matter what. She has really regressive thoughts and to be fair a horrible human being. Now phoopha sa is your regular cunning guy in the family. Now maa sa (Vidya) is the ideal bahu who is always trying to make other people's lives miserable by agreeing to the whims of dadi sa. And the drama, oh, armaan is my son, my first son and all that bullshit. Same as Manjari, Vidya couldn't stand up for Armaan when dadi was insulting his existence. if he felt like a real son to her, she wouldn't have agreed to Rohit's rishta first. She would have insisted on Armaan's wedding. And the whole gopi thing? Rich people and their privilege! I feel bad for chahcu and his wife as well. Just because Vidya is sucking up to dadi sa, chachi is always considered good for nothing. As if her worth lies in being a good wife and bahu (of course for Poddar's it is). Felt bad for Madhav though, the father. The one nice guy who probably lost his love because of his venomous mother and was forced into a loveless marriage. Whose worth is questioned on a daily basis for the profession he chose.

it just feels like Armaan, Madhav, his brother and sister, and his brother's wife are the victims of horrible dadi sa and Vidya.

Don't want to comment on others as their seasons have come and gone.

Poddars are more toxic in comparison with the rest.

I find Abhira to be a replica of Naira and Kartik Goenka.

Roohi hasn't shown her colors yet.

Whereas Armaan certainly has oedipal complex with toffee and wrappers.

Abhira deserves a accha aadmi like her mama.

Others for ex Gclan are not worth talking.

Arman can evolve too , only if , he doesn't choose to imitate mahan anupama aunty ..she's the best in lapping up the shit from elders and treating them like God ...

Reason for this comparison is that it's the same pH so same issues smiley36

Ruhi seems to be a character straight from nagin series.

Abhira seems to good but wth. The name itself is cursed.

Ruhi gives me vampy vibes.. initially I thought she is sweet and naive but now she is treating herself as a victim of thuta hua pyaar whereas she herself decided to go ahead with the wedding..

No girl will stay happy with a guy who gives blood and sweat to his family by keeping his partner as second priority. Why the hell he want to please dadi sa all the time whereas this woman not even care for him anytime.

Abhira’s over talking is irritating sometimes but I feel she will be the one to fall for Armaan first but will not express until he realizes his love for her. I haven’t watched ghum so no idea where the show is leading.

Indian TV rule

If a character is blaming others (Read: the leads) for circumstances that they brought on themselves due to their own deeds, it means they are a vamp

Exhibit A: Arohi

Ruhi says stuff like intezaar nahi karungi ab aur, kaha ka intezaar? You BLOCKED him

If you were waiting, you would be sitting by your phone not getting engaged to another man

but this time around I have hope in the hero. Armaan will finally see his dadi for what she is and stand up to her..remember his situation is just like his fathers where he also, marries the girl, his dadi doesn’t like..she didn’t like his mom either. Also he has always been sidelined by his dadi. So eventually he’ll rebel. Also after akshara dies..abhira has nobody ..so Armaan will have to be there for her.. he made a promise to her mom. But overall gen 4 is far more interesting than gen 3. I’m enjoying the episodes. But the actress playing Ruhi is bad..they should have chosen a better actress to,play Ruhi which is an important character..if they are following ghum 1 story

Abhira's honesty is refreshing. Ruhi, on the other hand, seems very impulsive.

But I'm hopefully optimistic about the character development in Gen 4, especially with Armaan.. It feels like he's on a path to breaking free from his dadi's influence one day, given the parallels with his father's story. His promise to be there for Abhira after Akshara's passing.

Armaan stands out as the first hero in the YRRKH in 4 generation who constantly seeks love and approval from his family, especially his dadi sa. His mom isn't accepted, and he faces constant taunts about being illegitimate, setting him apart from previous generation heroes. Despite this, Armaan remains a nice and honest guy, valuing the truth. It's evident that he can go against his family for the sake of truth. I'm hoping he'll take a stand for Abhira because he understands she has no one.

The actress playing Ruhi seems to struggle with her acting and doesn't do justice, especially if she has to portray characters like Pakhi Didi in the future, following the Ghum storyline.

But I'm really hoping they steer clear of copying Ghum's storyline verbatim. Virat's toxic behavior towards Sai was troubling the way he manhandled her many times, and I definitely don't want Armaan to follow the same path with Abhira. I sense Vidya might reveal her true colors, potentially turning into another Manjari part 2.
