Honestly, I sometimes think Bhumi is a combination of Kunti and Draupadi. Because Bhumi too is very important to Yuvika, but Yuvika listens to her on and off. Like how Yudhishthir didn't listen to Draupadi during the Dyut Sabha, here Yuvika didn't listen to Bhumi before becoming the chairperson.

Bhumi is fiery and intelligent too. As was Draupadi. But we see that side of Bhumi only when she is faced with a challenge or a threat. She does guide Yuvika many times like Draupadi pointed the way to Pandavas. She is also a source of inspiration for Yuvika like how Draupadi was the driving force to enlighten the fire in Pandavas.

So I think Bhumi's character is a mix of Draupadi and Kunti. I wouldn't use the love interest wala point because it doesn't make sense here. If we go by that, then Dhritarashtra and Shakuni are married smiley36.

Now here's why I think Neil is her Krishna, not in the divine sense but Neil is to Yuvika what Krishna was to Arjun. He has been her true friend, her guide. He has always supported her in her right decisions. He has been with her throughout her investigations but he always let her take the driving seat, other than when she was too overwhelmed, when this happened, he showed her light and got her out of that state. I can draw parallels to how Krishna always let Arjun choose the karma he did, but when Arjun was overwhelmed, Krishna became his light.

Ofcourse, here, I don't mean that Neil is divine and perfect like Lord Krishna. Rather I would draw parallels to the relationship of Krishna and Arjun.

Again, I may be wrong, because I've not read Mahabharat, only watched SP Mahabharat which did have some fallacies with respect to its story.

I would love to hear opinions from you four people on this.

Thank you for the tag. Very interesting discussions.

I have posted my opinion.

Well just to add, I don't know for me Krishna has always been like my best friend. I have never looked at him as someone who is perfect God. He never tried to be perfect or mahaan but he stayed real.A terrible prankster, a very naughty child, enchanting flute player, graceful dancer, epitome of love & responsibility! He is there with his magnetic charm with all his imperfections! That's what makes him endearing.

Exactly how I feel about Neil.. He doesn't need to be perfect. He operates from his heart which is very pure, he is real with all his flaws & imperfections, that is what makes him beautiful.

His diplomatic maneuver, eloquence, innovative ideas, crystal clear foresight.. everything reminds me of Krishna

& About Neil' anger! We are talking about Krishna! Who immediately released his Sudarshan chakra to kill Sisupal the moment he committed his 101th sin. Krishna was ready to break his vow of not taking up arms when Bhisma repeatedly attacked Arjun & hurt him in kurukshetra. He held the chariot wheel & marched towards him.

Similarly though Neil has always disliked Mahajans but he never jumped to fight with them. In fact he stayed in the same campus & tolerated them for so many years. He directly confronted them only when they tried to harm Vidur. He will fight with them when they will harm Yuvika.

I am not saying Neil is same as Lord Krishna but he definitely has a lot of characteristics of him.

Yes yes I definitely agree on this! Krishna too showed his anger when it was needed. Like with Sishupal, or even that incident where he had come to fight Dhrupad (again, it was shown in SP Mahabharat, it may or may not be in the real one).

But yes, Krishna came on to defend when he knew it's needed. Also, if anyone remembers that incident where Karna shot a very dangerous arrow towards Arjun on the battlefield. There Krishna put his feet down in such a way that the entire chariot bent a little towards one side and Arjun was saved.

Similarly Neil has done this time and again. He doesn't make Yuvika sit and does the work, but if she needs him, he's there to help always!

Also, today I was wondering if Isha can be inspired by Subhadra? Subhadra was also intelligent, beautiful and was considered as Maya herself. Here Isha too is very smart and sensible, and we do see her attracted to the Mahajan wealth, but not in a greedy sense.

Who do you think Arjun's character is based on? Cannot think of anyone. smiley36

Do give your opinions on the Bold part and also Arjun. I'd love to hear from all of you

I’m not sure if I necessarily see Bhoomi as Draupadi also, but nice analysis. 😊

My heart still seems to be somewhat set on Neil for this character; I have, however, been giving it more thought and can now view him as a mixture of both Krishna and Krishnaa.

Similar to how you put it, Draupadi was to Yudhishtir as Krishna was to Arjun. So now, I am thinking:

Neil - Draupadi/Krishna, Yuvika - Yudhishtir/Arjun

Especially because I cannot dismiss the touches of Draupadi’s fiery nature within Neil (and love the 6’s bonds too much to ignore her).

Also, I’m a huge fan of Dhritrashtra-Shakuni being married in this… Gandhari deserves the break. 🤣

This Dhritarashtra Shakuni pairing is very entertaining. Thoroughly enjoying it. smiley37

Agreed. But here she will become Neil's sister in law smiley36

But I actually was comparing their characteristics not going by the relationship. In Vanshaj universe Shakuni and Dhritarashtra are married anyway!

Yeah it's possible that Isha is Shubbadra

Also Gargi is a combo of Ghandhari and Shakuni

How is Gargi a combo of Gandhari & Sakuni? I have never thought that. How is she Gandhari?

She isn't....she's supposed to be but she doesn't have a bro so she is both Shakuni and Gandhari

Of course Isha's characteristics are very much similar to Subhadra. Smart, intelligent, practical & she is attracted to Mahajan wealth. Not too idealistic! Believes in claiming what she believes is hers.

Arjun I don't know, I don't think there is any character in Mahabharat who was always ready to run away from the backdoor.. Can you think of Someone?

Also I think metaphorically Dhritarastra is someone who was blind not just by eye but also in Putra moh & satta moh.

& Gandhari was someone who could see everything yet chose to tie a blindfold & be in darkness...

So I see a combination of both of them in DHANRAJ..

"Neil is Krishna Parallel

ONLY Krishna Parallel

They can't mix any other character traits with Krishna equivalent character because in MB no one else was similar to Krishna.

Neil is therefore only Krishna.

His anger isn't like that of Panchali's.

He gets TRIGGERED, His anger is OCCASIONAL.

Like Krishna's

His support to Yuvika is that of a SAKHA &

His love for Yuvika is mischievous & empowering like Krishna's Prem Leela & Krishna marrying Rukmini respectively

Neil is only equivalent to Krishna in Vanshaj"
