I did not feel anuj had any abandonment issues initially when he was introduced in show
He did not even bother much about Malvika who was his adopted parents daughter for last 10 years and left her roam world and sleep in parks all 10 years never went and got her home or took care of her although he had forced her to marry a brute of husband in USA it was his fault that she was raped and roaming world in upset for 10 long years actually yet he did not show much inclination to take care of her or be with her last 10 years
If anuj was ever bothered from college days its only anupama that he could not marry her that was his biggest regret and obsession
Anuj was not bothered about anything else or any other ssues n his family or sister life except wanting anupama in his life. He even left malika alone with vanraj although he knew vanraj will take care of Malvika if he leaves her alone. All because for him getting anupama was greater than saving sister malvika in life
Such a man who does not really care for a loing sister of adopted parents who is sick and depressed because of hs own doings will have any abondment issues because he was an orhan is tough to believe. Anuj abandonment issue would have gone after Malvika parents adopted him and gave him love and care.
Anuj does not care for MD at all although he knows shes his mother. Another son would go talk to mom why you left me? Whose my dad? Whose my grandparents? etc or shout at her etc hes just acting like shes an extra in house. He does not have any much feelings for MD. If he had abandonment issues he would have raised hell at MD by now. Hes indifferent like hes to barkha, MD, Kavya etc.
Anuj only likes those who anupama likes or he does not care about any others even his own sister or GK kaka or mother because anupama does not care for them. He likes baa, bapuji, vanraj, pakhi, toshu only becuse anupama likes them. Moment anupama starts hating them he will not take one minute to throw them from his life like he did for malvika, Gk kaka etc. Basically anuj kapadiya comes out as a selfish and eshaan aframosh man who uses people when he has no one and hrows them out of his life or does not care for them once anupama comes or those anupama like come in his life.
Ex he held GK kaka in high regard called him mummy, moment anupama's bapuji hasmukh came in his life he forgot GK kaka completely. Any other person in anuj place would take care of GK kak all life never leave him alone in his old age. But now anuj has to please anupamas hasmukh bapuji is he no longer cares for his GK akka who was with him 46 years of life when he was alone through all up and down
Ex he forgot his bacchi malvika the moment he married anupama or got engaged to her. Now anupama and CA replaced Malvika role in his life.
I am scared if anupama and anuj have a child he will stop obsessing over CA and not care about her too. Already he keeps quiet if pakhi, toshu or baa hit and abuse CA. Hes not that attached to her as we think. Shes just a means to tie anupama to him and ensure she never goes back to Shah house again permanently. Anuj is obsessed with meeting all pakhi demands only because shes anupama daughter.
As far as anuj and anupama are concerned choti anu is a means for both of them for their individual benefits that they can leverage. Anuj to keep anupama tied to him forever to him so she never goes to Shah house back permanently ever. For anupama CA is a means to blackmail anuj to make shahs financially secure all life. Because for CA sake anupama knows anuj will never abondon her or say no to give money to her for shahs sake because or anupama may leave CA and go away and CA have no mother in life.
