It is to be believed that makers erased irrelevant characters. But that very purge of irrelevant characters made a big void in the story lol. Maheshwari family gradually dissapeared in Jr. Ak's journey because they always showed FL's paternal family in every gen. So it did not have much impact on the story. But this time legacy FL has no paternal family as ML had no family. They removed the basic element of Rishta in gen 4, keeping the maternal family. One of the reasons why people feel disconnected to the show.

All of a sudden Akshara and women empowerment ,but I just saw Abheemanyu being claimed as the legacy of S3.and when it comes to Abhinav narratives change as usual . In ristha universe it’s always the girl child who carry’s the legacy so Akshara Sharma is the Lead of S3 and all other characters supported her. And Abhira Sharma is the lead of S4 , only that matters now and rest all is unwanted .

Akshara had her own flaws and she never accepted her faults but this all happened as Goenka's abandoned a teenage Akshara for Aarohi n let her abuse her all her life. Imagine for one kid they abandoned another one so anyone would have trust issues regarding Goenka's.Even in 6 yrs leap they never got her back home n left her in kasauli just because she said No to come back home.And now when she left she was pregnant and had Abhir still they abandoned her. Goenka's have always abandoned her first for Aarohi n then for Ruhi..
