I thought the movie was overall really good although not as exciting as the first two. Salman and Katrina both did a great job, the director was not as good as the last two though

It's clear now that it has underperformed and I think it's due to a few reasons. Salman has been declining in the past few years already with lackluster movies like Dabanag 3 and Radhe. He had an amazing run from 2010 to 2017 and no one can stay at the top forever.

Then the Pro Pak angle. At this point it was not a smart move to focus so much on that. I appreciate the message but india is far too right wing and extreme nationalistic nowadays. People would rather see mindless anti Pak movies like Gadar 2 (shit movie)

Also the Release date was screwed up. Bad choice to Release it during the peak of the WC

I still hope it can be a superhit at least.

It may not have been a "smart" move but it was a bold and telling one. Jingoistic movies may be convenient but they just feed something not beneficial for India.

I deeply hope a movie in the vain of the war movie Border (Border 2) will not happen (with Sunny and Tabu? riding on nostalgia and a past success again???)...if any war movie then I largely prefer a biopic like Sam Bahadur which - hopefully - concentrates on the person Sam Manekshaw.
