Not a new movie , this was released at the year 1997 but i need to get this off my chest
So i watched this Kannada movie called Amruthavarshini and this movie had one of the most beautiful opening scenes but i don't know if i should call it the most stupidest or the worst movie I've ever seen
So there's this couple who are all lovey dovey and the guy's friend who is a poet is a depressed soul who comes to live with them for a while to get over his dead girlfriend.....all the problems start over here , he gets obsessed with his friend's wife and his firnd notices it while they're out on a trip to kodaikanal ( office trip and this poet guy tagged along) and this guy doesn't tell this to his wife ( the first stupid thing he did) then takes his friend to a clifftop ( sunset point) to confront him....i mean great move buddy , you just dug your own grave....he takes his friend and gives him a few MB refrences like how he's Duryodhan, his wife is Bhanumati but he's not a Karna ( why tf did he consider himself to be Duryodhan? He was even dumber than DJ ) and asks him to back off....his friend murders him ( due to another stupidity by the husband character , he left the keys inside the jeep) jeep runs over him and he falls off the cliff along with the jeep , the husband character hangs for his dear life and this poet guy walks away without helping him ( why did the dying guy even think that the poet would help him?) So the husband character had a motorised camera at the time of his death and that captures all the pics of his death....someone else gives that camera to the wife and it takes a while for her to suspect the poet ; that dumb**** poet doesn't even know how to take the roll out of the camera and went to a camera store to check out how to remove the roll with a simillar model , by the time he returns the lady had already developed those photos ( lead guy loved photography and had a dark room in the house) she gives him the pics which does not have the shots of the murder to test his reaction and then pretends to get over her husband and takes him to the same cliff with some BS reason and hands over the photos to him...he is shocked and i expected her to push him off the cliff but she says that "my death will be tje worst punishment for you and you will regret it throughout your life " AND SHE JUMPS🤦 by the time the credits rolled i lost all the will to function as a human being....like who's to say that the poet won't repeat this with someone else? WTF was this movie about and why did it win national awards? This shit was dubbed in Tamil and Telugu and was remade in Malayalam too and all the versions were a hit....this movie sounds stupid even for 1997 standards
The only plus was the acting and cinematography, the actors were amazing and the director was awesome...he subtley showed how the obsession creeped in for the poet guy and the scene where the wife character gives him the pics to test his reaction was amazingly shot....the first 7 mins of this movie wete amazing but other than that , this movie is utter trash
I've wanted to vent out about this movie for 5 days now
