I remember several years back, Salman had come to an interview show with his mom - I think it was either Oye it's Friday or that chat show with Farah Khan. She has said something on these lines:

He dates big actresses and models and super models. But when it comes to marriage, he starts looking for someone who is just like his mother - that just never works out due to unreal expectations from his end for his partner

I think there is a definite element of truth there
