I don't understand Soni's reaction to this dialogue, "Jab tak badi behan samjhati nahi, choti behan ko samajh nahi aata."

In this context, even without Tara's interference, Ananya was correct in breaking up with Palash. How can Soni even deem Tara to be wrong when vilifying Palash was absolutely the correct thing to do.
