Some contestants from this season remind me of Season 7 contestants

Nambi - Female version of Nayanjyoti

Kennie - Less polished Sachin but the potential is there

Kriti - Female Gurkirat (hit or miss, great at desserts, Punjabi)

Rukhsar - Santa (peaceful energy, innovative and true to her roots and heritage)

Koushalya - Urmila Baa (nice YouTube following, novelty act, but Kaushalya lacks the humbleness of Baa)

Sima - Less polished Deepa (Similar age group, both attempting to revive lost recipes)

Prachi - A young Suvarna (Marathi gals and both love spice, outspoken and strong headed in a good way for most part)

Nidhi - Aruna (judges' favorite)

Suraj - male Priyanka (great at desserts, ambitious, a tad bit melodramatic and Bengali)

Not sure who Aashiq, Harry and Subhojit remind me of.

Maybe Subhojit is a little bit like Vineet and Harry is a bit like Priya.

What are your guy's thoughts?

Nidhi= aruna

Nidhi is definitely the Aruna of this season.

Also Nambi is like Shanta - cooking traditional north east food.

Ashiq is like Nayanjyoti - underrated but brilliant.

Harry and Shubhojit I can’t think of anyone

Aashiq is the Nayanjyoti of this season. The one who will end up winning it. While other contestants receive more attention throughout season

Ruksar will probably be the fist runner-up.

I disagree with the following:

-"Nambi as Nayan" rather she's a milder version of Shanta, like @Raina said.

-Suraj is tons better than Priyanka who was just dessert obsessed last season. The sympathy for Priyanka's elimination was torpid because she deserved to be eliminated & the fanbots just attempted to add it to the makers' obsession with Aruna, Gurki & Kdk last season.

-Aaashiq is the actual Nayan IMO.

Ashiq is great, but I am really rooting for a female to win this year. I hope someone from Rukhsar, Nambi or Nidhi wins!
