I don't think I would equate Majors's domestic assault with Brie asking for diversity. If anything she is going to be stuck with the fault for what is the result of the preceding dozen or so trash films/TV and Disney's half-baked diversity cash-ins.

Tiger 3 Advances Update

Tiger 3 continues with good advance though the sales have slowed over the past two days which was always likely with pre Diwali week. Its a normal occurrence when a film takes a strong advance in a normal week and here its pre Diwali week. The advances still remain at higher levels compared to films like Gadar 2 and Brahmastra at the same point of time. Despite advances ahead of these films the target still remains 30 crore nett as the release is coming on a weak day for collections and current will be slow in many parts of the country.

The final day of advance will determine where the advance ends as the next two days are likely to remain on the slower side. Its pretty much a normal picture for a Diwali day release as advances are much stronger in circuits which have a limited Puja affect with the southern circuits and West Bengal leading the way by good margins.

The national holiday is on Monday but Diwali is likely to play out differently this year as Bhai Dooj is on Wednesday which means that some centres will see the best collections on Monday while others will see on Tuesday. Its likely the Hindi speaking mass pockets will be best on Tuesday while the bigger metros may record the best numbers on Monday. The advances of Tiger 3 in the circuits is as below. The below report does not take into account thats its Diwali Puja day as if we take that into account then in reality its outstanding across the board except maybe East Punjab.
