The writer is playing with her character. She was the one who make sure of her feeling before confessing to Viaan. She was the one who think of Earthcon people and didn't leave company. How can she play with Raghav's emotions.
The writer is showing her bechari every time and for everything. This is what I am telling to the people why showing bechari when the situation is not critical. It is like fake portrayal of strong rather than actual strong character.
I have a feeling she'll come clean soon. Viaan is cornering her and sooner rather than later she'll have to confess everything. And i think it's more like bad, illogical writing than actual character trait. I mean raghav doesn't know absolutely anything? How is that possible? Not a word from not even aarav or yuvraj? How can someone not have any inkling of your fiance's past? It's not about just past relationship, but also everything in general. He doesn't know she worked at EC, doesn't know about Aarav's cancer. Nor does katha know much about him. It's like a clean slate for them both. None of them is much interested in knowing about each other's past. They're starting afresh and want bygones be bygones. And who knows maybe we'll be shown that they did have a conversation of some sort about their pasts. One in which they both agreed to just look ahead and accept each other as is without any questions.

Actually I find it more unbelievable rather than dishonest. Unbelievable because it's hard to digest that something like this could be hidden from a doctor treating a mental illness, when this whole relationship eventually became the cause of the said illness. But, not knowing everything about your fiance's ex is frankly not uncommon. In real world too many a times people don't talk about their failed relationships or discuss everything about their partners' previous romances. Especially when you are just starting out. You can share these things when you become comfortable enough with your partner. And they have been engaged for just 3 months and Viaan wasn't even in the picture then. It becomes morally tricky here because Viaan is back in the picture, and is actually hanging out with the person she is about to marry. Keeping the truth from him now is morally wrong. It didn't matter so much 3 months back but the situation has drastically changed and warrants some transparency.

Exactly she never chosen him. Even if Katha Viaan reunites, how can we believe she will not run away again if some problem arises!! That's why Viaan need to lose hope and she need to come back by realizing her mistakes, work on this relationship.
