Had minor hope till last week, what if channel isn't Z for Mukta's new show, but no luck.

Keeping aside the joy of many for getting to see Sriti on TV soon as a daily serial lead again, both so called teaser promos released by Z of upcoming KMTMG aren't overwhelming, expected much better. Surprisingly Z is known to be good in creating some captivating, eye grabbing & well shot pre-launch teaser/trailer promos of their new fictions, how ever be plots & execution after launch.

From looks to costumes, to body language, to dialogues, to lead char intro's about one a rich bratty guy not a believer of shaadi whereas other a middle class simple girl as usual believer in rishtas, to how destiny brings them, to montage of KMTMG everything appears so much seen & done on TV umpteen times.

Sriti’s outfit as well.. with the Chandra bindi and the ear ornament.. I think it's called bugadi.. are predominantly worn by some sect of Maharashtrian women..

From what was revealed in these teasers and ivs, it doesn't seem too different from kkb either. Amruta seems to be Pragya minus big family baggage and plus some more independence (probably somewhere b/w Pragya and Bulbul). Virat seems to be a lighter version of Abhi. Do feel Abhi was more classy. The 'impossible love story' mentioned ... well... that was kkb. And to begin with, she seems to have (or should i say is likely to have) the same disgust / hate towards Virat that Pragya had towards Abhi.

Anyways... guess we can get a good idea about how the show may go from the first week eps.

Her 'aayi' is behind her for marriage as 'umar' is catching up, says she smilingly styled in her 'familiar' full sleeves blouse with long loose hair..

So in 2024 makers/writers/actress/channel want to take back both old & new TV viewers into 2014-15 times, with some Marathi background for change?

But in this last decade smart phones/tabs, data usage, online viewing of TV shows, local & global OTTs, web series, social media usage etc. have also seen a high rise in India, so do multiple options & choices available on several Hindi GEC's thus bringing down attention spans of many people, who seek daily fiction entertainment.

Any how budget wise this new TV show may workout, as same recent years funda of pairing a Tier 1 popular, experienced, expensive lead actress/actor with a new/upcoming/Tier 3 average or low cost lead actor/actress, is happening even with KMTMG.

But do regional backgrounds matter in any way? Unless of course if its a South Indian bg where they mess up accents beyond cringe. Ideally, story should be the priority, irrespective of the bg, where the bg can give a slight nuance of its own to the story. If like some other shows all you go for is one plot after another, and sometimes (or rather, many times) hyperbolic ones, bg dont matter at all.

[Dont know if Marathi bg is a wink at some other ph who, as rumours have it, insisted on having a Marathi actor for the role.]

Dont know how long it will take for itv to realise this template of having one tier 1 actor opp tier 2/3 actor doesnt do justice to the show/story. The only reason I could continue watching kkb was because of what TiSha brought in into their scenes, which would be a miracle if it would happen with one of the pair being a tier 2/3 actor.

Lets force some difference to create culture/language conflicts in families with Marathi & Punjabi backgrounds as concept, story, characters, styling, writing, creativity wise KMTMG may not have much to offer in terms of captivating freshness or eye grabbing plot elements.
