fundamentalism. Women have no right to work first of all. No economy can grow without enough women in the workforce. That has been a proven fact. In India, it might not be a BJP-created problem. But the issue of women's safety is making it harder and harder for women to work. The percentage of women in the workforce has declined since the 90s. Check for yourself.

Also BJP rule by religious fundamentalism. Many in academia would agree. Modi is lucky Manmohan Singh handed him an economy already set up for strong economic growth. Modi is basically enjoying the fruits of Manmohan Singh's labor. And incorrectly getting the credit he does not deserve. He himself has only halted the strong economic growth to some extent. Due to terrible policies like demonetization.

And ya..I see women wearing Hijabs and Burkhas more often in India too. Which wasn't the case few years back. I had Muslim classmates who came to college in Jeans Tshirts and Salwar kameez. And there's no Taliban here. Also western dressing is considered American influence

You would not either if a Taliban leader pointed a gun at your head for studying. They did something similar to Malala Yusuff Azai in Pakistan for wanting to pursue an education.

Again I say don't bring Hindutva isn't this..it isn't so regressive and hardlined. Our books and scriptures don't say so. There's enough to read about the religion if interested.

What made that Taliban leader pick up and point a gun on n innocent girl child?
