I saw that the other day. I think it’s a step in the right direction. China is one of the big 5. Even if it doesn’t physically attack Israel, cutting diplomatic ties is enough. It’s a lose lose situation for Israel.

Here’s China’s foreign minister’s not so kind words about Israel. Literally called Israel an illegal occupier.

Here’s China’s UN rep not mincing any words about Israel’s decades long oppression of Palestinians.

Also, Shein, the biggest fast fashion retailer based out of China decided to stop collaborating with Israel and Israeli influencers.

Good win over evil.

Were the 8000 innocent civilians evil? 62 percent of which were women and children? and only 13 Hamas members killed? (I completely understand you calling them evil?)

I have stakes in neither country and don't support any except my own.

But let's put a thought into this one thing.

A tiny country with a population that's minority in the world..surrounded by countries with majority population in the world. How did it became so powerful n developed inspite of hostile situations? Maybe the emphasis on right education, right decisions and right civilizational values and experience saw it through.

A big question is why didn't the same happen with surrounding countries who also have the backing of majority and fastest growing population in the world? And why aren't other rich countries so open and accomodating to them? Is Moral support enough? And Saudi isn't even giving that moral support

And actually, Iraq was a very well-developed country initially. It had an amazing healthcare system. It is the US war that put it back 50 years.

Aghanistan use to be a very modern society. Things changed until after the USA put the Taliban in charge. Even its economy in the 60s was predicted to flourish pretty fast. Of course rule by fundamentalism is not going to bring about progress. That is why Hindutva should also be careful. Yes I do find that funny. smiley36

So what is it that Taliban is making them follow which US isn't making its own citizens follow?

Hindutva doesn't mandate this so it's fine

So why is Taliban so naive to not understand this? And why were those progressive Afghanis also lured into it?

And ya..I see women wearing Hijabs and Burkhas more often in India too. Which wasn't the case few years back. I had Muslim classmates who came to college in Jeans Tshirts and Salwar kameez. And there's no Taliban here. Also western dressing is considered American influence
