I feel they got Rumi track as original filler but the TRp sky rocketed which they were not expecting plus Roopam broke her leg so they can't have too much hall drama so now they have increased the length of this track

And in a way it's good. Rather than wohi log, wohi kalesh se acha hai kuch revenge and real plotting and planning mile by villains

But Rumi does not become Angad ka bhai naa. Matlab cousin bhi nahi bol sakte. Rumi is Angad ke cousin ka half brother.
