Also reminds me of Baat Ban Jaye, Zeenat Aman hates rich people. Sanjeev Kumar pretends to be poor to woo her.

IM has too many bollywood inspirations to count.

I have seen other dramas too where some scenes are clearly inspired by Bollywood movies but here there is more than just one or two scenes inspiration .

Pasand apni apni was such a sweet movie . I felt that Ghajini was also inspired by it , they just gave it a different twist to it , all that violence ....

I hope IM is a decent entertaining show even if it is inspired

There are a lot of pak dramas whose main storyline seems to be inspired from 90s bwood movies. Deewangi is a total ripoff of srk-madhuri's anjaam, yeh Dil Mera is too much similar to baazigar and cheekh is also very similar to daamini. The overall synopsis is same for all these.

Ghajini is a remake of a Tamil movie which itself is loosely inspired by a Hollywood movie.

There is nothing wrong with being inspired as long as it is not a full rip off or badly executed, here the problem is later.

Direction and writing is not up to the mark .I think the actors are okay and Bilal is very good as always .But let's give it a little more time , maybe it will pick up .Bilal's imaginary relationship with his mother is very sweet .

IM is all about bilal playing two characters and some comedy scenes and nothing else. As long as Shibra and her family's problems stay out of the story it's a fun watch if we put our brains in a locker . There are a lot of matlab kuch bhi scenes in the drama.

Fazal is giving out money to anyone and everyone and nobody is finding anything fishy with an assistant clerk having so much money to spend? Matlab kuch bhi

Which 5star hospital did Fazal took auntyji to have a bill of 8Lac as hospital fee for an appendix operation? Matlab kuch bhi?

From which angle Shibra and her sister look like siblings? Literally zero similarity. The little sister is definitely adopted. She neither looks like the rest of her family nor she is treated like one. Her own father calls her chipkali and he made her get married to a useless guy with a greedy mother who happens to be his sister. Matlab itni kya majboori thi Bhai? He basically destroyed his daughter's life and won't do anything to rectify it and then calls her chipkali . He is so upright and high on principles but got his daughter married to a greedy household with a jobless guy. We get from where shibra's annoyance comes from. Baap se virasat mein mili hai usko. Both are pheeku preachers but are dumb and useless.

Shahmeer's friend is funny. I loved how he pushed shahmeer under the bus and gave out all the info to the kidnappers not knowing the kidnapper is shahmeer himself . He is like go kidnap my friend who is 10times richer than me and he is roaming around without a bodyguard nowadays

And that is the only thing making this drama shine. All Fazal Bux scenes and his interactions are so fun to watch. Bilal has such good comic timing.

Other than that everything is so meh: the politics track, Shibra and her family ke dramay, Mujhe to Shamir ki kidnap party mai bhi khaas mazaa nahi aya - other than a chuckle when his friend spills the beans.

Isn't Shubra's dad a senior civil servant. He must have employer-provided health insurance or medical facility to he doesn't need to pay out-of-pocket. Even good private companies in Pakistan provide health insurance which makes these kind of medical emergencies almost free for the employee. So why Shibra and her sister selling jewelery or Shamir paying for them?

Shahmeer related scenes are probably the heart of the show. His uncannily comedic demeanor is fun to watch esp in the office as a junior clerk lol even though the story is just ...mindless and poor in execution. 😂

Though there's no point in looking into the logic of paying the hospital bill as some mysterious "Angel." Also, bribing for 20k whilst his salary is of 25k and nobody is paying proper attention lol. 😂 🤣 Like, the whole "saving some woman at a river bank ..." story as a trope to get a job lol. 😂 🤣

Shibra's family scenes are just FFed by me as her younger sister is soooo like maha annoying, going around and being so self-absorbed and in her bubble.

Shibra and her family are zabardasti ke gareeb.

Lives in a big enough house, father is a high rank officer, both daughters are educated but don't work. Shibra apparently is studying for civil services and has time to teach kids for free but won't work part time to help her father with the households. If zabardasti ki preaching was a job she would have been a millionaire by now .

To show they are gareeb the director just increased the cost of an appendix operation 10times .
