Friday's episode may have been a filler episode, but the progression it displayed in AdYa has my heart (the entire week portrayed it effortlessly for the matter). Adi has admired, adored, and respected Kavya from the word go, whereas for Kavya, Adi was just another batchmate until she slept in his room—in his bed, to be precise
*coming back from lalala land*
Moving on...the noodle party and Adi's concern for Kavya was what made her see him as a potential friend. And that's also where she saw through him and not just us, even Adi was caught off guard.
Post that, it was last Friday's episode that shed further light on how, unknowingly, Kavya is beginning to consider Adi as a trustworthy ally and even as a friend. Although Anusha has been supportive throughout, but it was Adi whose hand Kavya reached for and whispered her concern about sharing the space with the other boys. And later, the smile on her face when he negated JD's safety misconceptions or when he wanted to become her partner in the project was one of sheer fondness and adoration
In Thursday's episode, Adi too, initially didn't express his hurt in front of Kavya but in the bus he made sure he expressed it fully-made sure Kavya knew that her harsh words hurt him. And Kavya too tried to serenade him (though I wish they had a full conversation regarding the matter cause Adi's "Gaali matt do yar" was heartbreaking to hear but we are not there yet. Hopefully, in future.) and chuckled whole heartedly on his "rumaal rakh k haq jama lo" line.
This entire press conference thing really helped them, I believe. Both of them now seem to be on the same page with their fondness, adoration, admiration, respect and haq jamaoing (Earlier it was Adi who would drag Kavya away from troubling situations and in Friday's episode we saw Kavya tugging at his hand holding has hand repeatedly). And the best part? It reflects in their goofy laughs. Adi laughs because he knows his attitude annoys Kavya and Kavya laughs because she has figured he loves annoying her
LOVE LOVE LOVE the comfort level Kavya and Adi have with each other. It's so refreshing to NOT see a girl getting flustered by the guy's closeness and endearments. Kudos to the actors, writers, directors and the entire team.
Needless to say, this budding friendship is endearing to watch, as is the comfort they have with each other and I can't wait to see Kavya's reciprocation of Adi's genuineness and their bond to grow.
P.S: Blooming friendship aisi hai tou dating-relationship phase would be so warm and giddy!! Can't wait
