Nice serial !!! Sorry to see it end !! Some more scenes between Rutba and Khurshid would have been nice !!!! I like Zaviyar !!
Hiba , Usama Xavyar and the actress playing Tazmeen and Rutbas Dad did an excellent job throughout the show
I liked how Rutba was shown finally coming out of Altamash trance and accept khurshid wholeheartedly
She looked good with both
I tried to catch up on this show in the earlier stages but could watch only at the end.
First of all, how good was Hiba as Rutba, both in the first half(ish) as a mean girl to her future hubby and an empowered and steely woman in the latter half. Didn't know Hiba had it in her to play a mean girl, lol. I have always been a Hiba fan since Deewangi days but to see her performances in this show and Jhok Sarkar is a revelation.
And she had good chemistry both with Usama (as Altamash) and Zaviyar (as Khursheed). Usama is a better actor than Zaviyar so it wasn't surprising. But the fact that she had good chemistry with Zaviyar was actually surprising. However, it still seemed to me that for all his greed, Altamash loved Rutba more than Khursheed
Other good aspects of the drama were strong performances by Washma Gil, Dania Enwer and a fairly engaging storyline. SOLID ensemble of senior actors including Nadia Afgan and the other phuppo (playing Usama's mom) who I think sold the grey character really well. Nida Mumtaz was good as Rutba's affable saas. The highlight of the drama was the emotional anchor played by Jamal Shah (as Rutba's dad Mehr Ali Khan). As his daughter's eternal light, he was the silent presence in the drama even in the scenes where he wasn't present.
Frankly, I am so happy for Hiba and a little miffed too. This has been a hit drama and Jhok Sarkar I guess is also doing well. So why is she the second choice for most dramas? She has now gotten Radd opposite Shehryar after Saira backed out and she is arguably much better than Saira. She is pretty consistent and does solid work, especially in Pehchaan, Jhok Sarkar and now in this drama. But all the hype goes to people like Dur E with her horrible Urdu diction and lifeless acting, created by that useless portal, Something Haute, lol.
Edit: Full points for the OST which was magical and suited the drama really well.

I feel Hiba selects projects based on the storyline. So she doesn't have problem if she is second option. Also I don't think she wass the second option in Jhok sarkar. Yhe other girl most likely replaced durre as it was iniitally rumored that Durre was paired opposite to Asif Raza mir.

Yes, Hiba is a good actress and she chooses strong roles. I like her in Jhok Sarkar. I also liked her other dramas Mere Humnasheen and Silsilay. If possible watch them.

It's good that she is so professional, but yeah, I am unhappy that somehow she ends up being the last choice for huge projects. I think Zara Noor was also considered for Jhok other than Dur E (maybe in Hiba's role? I am not sure.)
Overall I admire her work ethic. I think her Deewangi co-star Zoya Nasir also talked about this in an interview where she talked about lobbies and nepotism, and how Hiba is her inspiration because she has been able to overcome it:

I find it admirable that Hiba has been able to make it so far despite not having strong connections in the industry like a Momal Sheikh or Dur E or Zara Noor.

I do agree with you. I think Zara noor to was opposite to Asif Raza mir. In my point of view, Asif and Zara would actually make a pair. Didn't know Zoya praised her. Thanks for the link. And she seems very down to earth and has the least controversy.
