Like you I agree that mangalsutra alone cannot be holding their marriage together. It’s a journey and this paved way for issues but they as married couple have to resolve it.

Before they were married kanaji told them trust is the foundation and love is truth. He has already blessed them and as promised married them. Now it’s up to them to maintain that relationship. I think the makers have a great scope to explore how they handle that. One good thing given Dhruv Tara’s conviction that marriage is forever even with issues we will see them. I do want the makers to keep Dhruv Tara’s essence though and in the same century.

They have alot of scope! Alot! Let's see how they play out the whole thing!!! Till the time Dhruv Tara have the essence i don't mind watching it. And to be honest a piece of jewelry can't make and break a marriage.

Even kanaji almost incessantly said it’s karm - they have to walk the path. Yes it was an important item which is lost but more than that the blessings, the guidance, the words of encouragement are important and that should not be lost.

Piece of jewellery is bound to be lost plus that damn thing was hideous and long. It had chances of breaking and I think the imitation one may break too.

I am the same keep the essence of Dhruv Tara and I will watch. I don’t think they will do anything drastic but I knew conflict was needed and this paved the way.

I agree with everything you have said. If they follow Kanha Ji's teaching they don't need a mangalsutra to protect their marriage.

@Bold - 100% correct!!! I think they will. The love they have transcends time and both have worked very very hard for it. Plus that is the show name - Dhruv Tara

Oh I hate that mangalsutra. It is so fugly I can't even. It is so bloody long and looks like a rope more than a jewelry item.
