Not surprised. Yesteryear actresses were eloquent in their interviews. They expressed their thoughts confidently and succinctly. I watch old interviews of Zeenat Aman, Smita Patil, Rekha etc and usually find them quite thought-provoking and introspective. Then, I watch the interviews of the current horde-DP, Alia, Anushka, Kareena etc., the difference is staggering. The current lot cannot string along a sentence together without fumbling let alone articulate their thoughts seamlessly. Makes you wonder, really…..with all that access to internet at their fingertips and global travel to boot.

I don't think it is a desire to talk politics, religion, or controversy. It often feels like testing how much one can get away with. It is fun to poke bears in bars.
