Just saw the Ak-Manjari talk and I have to say I loved it. I really wished they talked directly instead of using confusing metaphors that neither one of them seem to understand. The scene was setup like Manjari is the bad guy, but actually her points were good and made a lot of sense.
One thing I am glad about is that someone is going to be there to remind Ak that what she thinks is dosti is not just dosti from Abhi's side and that it never can be. I am glad that Manjari is there as a vocal person for Abhi's plight otherwise people are quick to forget everything he has gone through for his love. She even reminded everyone that for seven years he has been waiting for Ak. And then reminded Ak that Abhi has only ever loved you and no one else.
The first part of the convo was obviously stupid, nor can Ak forget the six years, nor can she guarantee that Nav won't come between them. He is already between them not allowing her to move on. Manjari's fears are correct, but her expectations from Ak are always too much. The second part made a little more sense. For Ak this is some new fangled shadi based on friendship. And Manjari keeps repeating that no, Abhi loves you, he has always loved you.
The hope discussion seemed weird to me. Manjari said that even if Abhi accepts this friendship wali shadi, he loves you and so there will be some small thorn of hope. And Ak said why is hope a bad thing, it can also blossom into something beautiful. And Manjari is like, if that happens good.
Finally Ak is again viewing this whole this like its a whole new relationship with new people. She keeps comparing their past and present to justify her illogical decisions. She is saying their past was a love story and there were very strong currents of love and now its like a calm friendship which can tolerate more. She thinks because her friendship wali shadi worked with Abhinav, it will also work with Abhi. I really don't get it anymore. What does she think love is exactly? What does she think friendship is for that matter? Friends don't marry each other. They help out without adding relationship tags unnecessarily. People marry for love. Abhi is even now marrying his love. What is she doing exactly?
To me this seems like a setup for Manjari to bash her in the future for taking Abhi for granted again, for hurting him again, for being oblivious to his pain again. And the stupid part about all of this is, that Abhi is only going to support Ak now. He will stand up against his mother, who only ever wanted him to be happy. I hope he doesn't shout at her. I hope he sits her calmly and explains that this relationship is not about him anymore. Its about Abhir, and that her meddling will end up hurting Abhir. That even though she as a mother wants his happiness, he as a father and husband needs to ensure his son and his wife's happiness.
