Are you saying a clash is only won when ones a hit and ones a flop ?

I'm saying Shah isn't invincible right? I liked raees but it didn't do that well. Even jthj was not SRK level successful despite Yash ji, ARR and Katrina. Not speaking of just money but in retrospect. Koi kutta bhi baat nahi karta jthj aur raees ki.

Of course be forum only speaks in money. But honestly, Between CE and PATHAAN, srk went through a seriously bad time.

I'm saying, he shouldn't be the OSO wala arrogant producer and superstar who was saying things like I'll destroy them.

I love this calmer, more mature King. Hope there's no mudslinging from his side. Prabhaas fans and Twitter fans I don't know.

The same director, the same music director, the same subject...watch Ugram (with Engl. subtitles) and you can - most probably - skip Salaar...

Atul Kulkarni (Raees) is part of the movie!

One can also go around saying watch any other Hirani movie and skip Dunki. smiley36

The music director of Ugram (Ravi Basrur) is also the music director of Salaar and he stated officially that the director of Salaar (Prashanth Neel) had done a remake of his first movie Ugram with Prabhas in the lead.

Even though Neel might have done some minor changes, it will still be the same director with a story resembling that of Ugram. If one watches the lead in Ugram (Sri Murali), one can easily imagine Prabhas in that role.

Well, basically, I repeated what someone prominent said who had worked on both movies.

In Salaar, Prithviraj Sukumaran seems to play the role, Atul Kulkarni has in Ugram...

The production company Hombale Films had success with the KGF movies and Kantara and they are strongly linked to the BJP...I think, something quite shady comes its way with Salaar been suddenly put against Dunki.

You don’t make sense at all. A remake is still a movie where people put in money and energy. You mean to say the remakes and rehashes should all be skipped? Jawaan is literally a rehash of three of the previous Atlee movies btw. And I cannot even begin to make sense of your BJP thing so I will just skip that.smiley44

Didn’t some of the SRK fans heckle at Salaar for running ‘away’ from Jawaan because apparently they were scared or something? Now when they are coming head on to clash, more conspiracy theories ha? What about when Shaarook went to clash with the other movies? No conspiracy theories about that?

It has nothing much to do with Hombale Films except South patriotism will ensure decent opening and Yash is a huge deal. This has to do with Thadani (who was meant to promote Jawan but lost it last minute) - he will hold both Animal and Salaar over people's heads versus Dunki. I wonder if he's mad about Jawan or if there's some other reason considering his daughter Rasha is about to get launched.

Thadani blocked screens for SRK (Raaes) unfairly which led to Hrithik facing disaster with his movie. Now SRK is at the receiving side of the coin. It's pretty normal in Bollywood - he's not fazed.

Hombale putting again a south movie against an SRK movie on Christmas stinks like a rotten fish.

In 2018, when Zero had been scheduled for the 21st of December, Hombale in collaboration with the Hindi distributors Excel Entertainment (Farhan+ Ritesh Sidhwani) and Anil Thadani's AA Films made KGF 1 clashing with Zero.

To me, it was a clear statement of enmity from Excel's side because SRK had parted ways with them after what had happened relative to Raees.

Hombale which is closely associated to the BJP party (working with and for the party) was a good option to "finish" SRK after a not so favorable streak at the domestic boxoffice since 2015 (his intolerance remark).

Zero being a quite experimental movie and less a mass(y) entertainer gave enough possibilities to bash the movie into the ground with coffee-grinder-wise repeated arguments and pushing KGF 1 (Hindi version) to earning half of the Hindi nett that Zero earned. (edited!)

Going with the widely and abundantly spread statements of SRK's downfall, SRK should have been demolished...well already in January 2019 he was in talks with YRF about the action movie Pathaan and in February with Atlee about an action movie with him...

We will now see what happens with this newly orchestrated clash...

Hardly...no disaster at all for Kaabil...both movies got the verdict "Hit" (Kaabil had a lower budget and a lower boxoffice vs a Raees with a higher budget and a slightly higher boxoffice)

Do you have a source for the blocking...because my source tells that it was initially 3200 screens against 2700 screens and later 200 screens additional for Kaabil. Btw, SRK hadn't wanted a clash with Kaabil...it had been Excel's decision only.

There already Excel and AA Films worked together (like they did one year later with KGF 1...)

The distributor for Salaar in the Hindi belt isn't known, yet...

And the Dilwale clash had been initiated by Lulla's Eros Entertainment (producer and distributor of Bajirao Mastani), with whom SRK had parted ways after Ra.One.

Please don't put me into one pot with other people (SRK fans or not)...I talk only for myself with what I write here.

Of course, a remake is also a movie and I only repeated what the music director said. I've watched Ugram, but of course I don't know much about Salaar.

If you would inform yourself more about Hombale (available on the Net), my writing would - maybe - make more sense to you...

But it's okay...no need to continue to debate it.

What I experienced throughout the years made me sensible to things that show a certain pattern...and since 2010 (MNIK), there had been very obvious attempts (even efforts) to harm SRK's professional (and also private) life which got a new boost after Nov 2015.
