The domestic boxoffice is divided into language-wise boxoffice and all-India boxoffice (=all languages in which the movie could be watched).
BOI and Taran (and maybe other trade analysts) focus on the HINDI language nett boxoffice (Taran, although, also publishing the other languages as an extra). Of course, that is no problem if the movie only got released in Hindi (like Gadar 2).
Sacnilk (and others) publishes the all-India nett collection (but lists that of the different languages behind in parentheses), so one has a very good comparison base.
BOI indeed lowered the HINDI nett collection (for whatever reason) for Pathaan by deducing about 12 cr...and they had been the only one of those I know. The all-India nett boxoffice is, imo, out of Gadar 2's reach.
I don't know numbers about the footfalls except those written here.
Still, I maintain that Gadar2 is a special case because it wouldn't even have happened without Gadar...it's in no way a 'stand-alone' movie like Pathaan and Jawan.
