They go up, tiddlee up, up,
They go down, tiddlee down, down.
They enchant all the ladies and steal all the scenes,
With their up, tiddlee up, up
They go down, tiddlee down, down
Up! Down! Flying around,
Looping the loop and defying the ground.
They’re all frightfully keen,
Those magnificent men in their flying machines
Those magnificent men
Magnificent men
And their FLAAAYING MACHINES!
Give me a word that you think cannot be rhymed
I've gotta get home (But, baby, you'd freeze out there)
Say, lend me a coat (It's up to your knees out there)
You've really been grand (I thrill when you touch my hand)
But don't you see? (How can you do this thing to me?)
There's bound to be talk tomorrow (Think of my lifelong sorrow)
At least there will be plenty implied (If you got pneumonia and died)
Sarce, goodnight then? Shall we continue tomorrow??
an extension of that... do you think there are parts of our country too where the mindset is somewhat similar??

Though on a serious note, most of these films have men who cheat on their girlfriends/wives....so I looked it up and a couple of US newspapers had articles on how the men in Moscow have this culture of having a side-thing going...don't know how much of it to take seriously.. but it is a trope that keeps coming up in these dramas.
My cousin who lives in Japan says there too it is expected that the husband might have a mistress outside. That women are quite accommodating and feel like their husbands need such outlets considering how hard they work outside....
Asianboss did a docu-video on this. I don't know what to make of this.
I wouldn't take it seriously. Chinese dramas also have this concept, a lot. Itv also had it for a while. Don't know if it is still a trope because I don't follow any at this point. Then you hear of the concept of polygamy in the Middle East and then open marriages in the West. It's a pretty universal concept with cultural tweaks. So I wouldn't associate it a specific country or culture alone.
Btw won't we watch the new drama starring Burak and Hande????? It has started airing...
