Decent episode with the proposal and official "new beginning" for Abhira
The proposal scene from Akshara gave a window into how this marriage will happen and what the equation will look like. Ak has the baggage of all her history in her mind....memories of both marriages, both husbands all leading up to that moment in the hospital yesterday with Abhir hugging Abhira.
Abhira had a very candid and straightforward convo about this marriage proposal.....Abhi as expected was shocked and his first Q was why? He didn't want her to feel any pressure or compulsion. Ak saying that such a decision doesn't happen abruptly - the answer is already somewhere in your mind before you get to this point.....basically they gave her broad dialogues to say that she thought through many factors before making this decision - Abhir's desire to have both his parents with him, Abhi's feelings for her all making her think that they should give this another chance. She also shared her wariness that she doesn't know how it will work given that they've traveled this road before and been hurt along the way......and then she said something very reminiscent of OG Akshu....she said that if she falters, Abhi should handle it and when he falters, she will handle it.....after a long time, Ak gave some regard to Abhi rather than only claiming he will mess up everything
Abhi for his part depicted the mix of wariness and a budding happiness....wariness cuz he didn't want Ak to make a compromise out of any guilt....that is why he reiterated that he doesn't want to take anyone's place and he knows she still loves Nav.....but also candidly admitting that he always wanted a chance to make up for his mistakes and give happiness to both her and Junior.
Ak keeps repeating that she isn't compromising but she has mostly muted reactions to everything so it's looking like a compromise only....and it feels like this is what will make for roadblocks ahead for them cuz Abhi will be approaching it sincerely as a marriage while Ak will refuse to admit the level of baggage she has and that she's still approaching it as a compromise.....remains to be seen if she manages to face her own emotions properly rather than suppressing them and doing random outbursts as usual.
Manjiri's reaction to Abhi giving her the news was so heartwarming .....she looked way more happy then Abhira themselves do.....lol I guess that is how it's going to go....everyone around Abhira are happier with this shaadi than they themselves are.
Abhir also jumping over to call Abhi dil se Dadda again .....chalo jaise bhi hua, it was good to see Abhi getting that back and his reaction to that was quite poignant and sweet too.....for once, Ak didn't make faces seeing Abhi-Abhir hugging each other and Abhir calling him Dadda.....she's giving tepid sort of smiles for now...but ok chalega yeh bhi
Muskaan ka meltdown has been pushed to tomorrow I guess....lol and baaki Badhaai ho Badhaai and shaadi planning stuff will also pick up.
Then I guess I can watch the episode w/o touching the FF button
