People have been calling Sara opportunist but Kartik is no less although I do believe this was his only true relationship everything else was PR.

This is probably due to the glaring dearth of A list actresses in BW rn, (thanx to the monopoly duo) and Sara is back to being an A-lister post ZHZB's success, but I am still unable wrap my head around this dynamic esp from Kartik's side how does one go around being chummy with the same people who publicly humiliated and mocked you and ran a proper besmirching campaign (talking about Dharma gang here)

Anyway I feel she'd be in that Luv Ranjan rom-com opp him and not Aashiqui 3.

He was definitely dating Hrithik’s sister Pashmina. Ironically they broke up after reports came out that they were ready to go public 🤔. And something obviously happened with Janhvi since she’s not softening the way Sara has. The only one that I think truly was PR was Ananya.

Shehzada was a big flop and SPKK is not the success his PR is trying to claim it was. He’s still in a solid position in the industry but he’s certainly not where he was after BB2 no matter what his PR says. This is why he’s back to being chummy with Sara and KJo. If nothing else every appearance with Sara is giving him extra attention and clicks. And every time he appears next to KJo his side can indirectly call him a big star that Karan Johar wants for a project.

Can't say about Pashmina but whatever he had with Jahnavi definitely gave Darr vibes from her side

Agree with everything else.I do feel he genuinely liked/likes Sara despite all the classist commentry from every corner

I think even Sara was truly in awe of him.

To be honest a lot of Sara and Karthik had was very pr. She wanted to work with him so the whole wanting to date him. They milked it for Love Aaj Kal but did not work for the movie. So it is easier to get back to. Ananya and him were casual so no hard feelings. I think Jhanvi liked and was quite obsessed with him and probably freaked him out, poor girl too soon to a guy who wanted casual.

Karthik is ruthlessly ambitious (no support from the industry). After BB2, success went to him and it did alienate him with some folks. Post that he has not had huge success even though SPKPK was a very good movie. After the smear campaign from nepo, and his fall out of Dharma movie he did not respond like Kangana plus he has a few good line up and plus the few younger who can attract audience. So the smear stopped when he and KJO buried the hatchet. Not friends but good to be on cordial terms to work in the future.
