Is Vicky a better actor than both Ranbir and Ranveer? - Page 3

I don’t think it’s an unpopular opinion based on my own experience in the UK. Ranbir is typically first choice amongst his Bollywood peers but outside that circle Ranveer tends to have an edge as the preferred actor from my experience (I know many people who aren’t really huge Bollywood junkies but they will go watch a Ranveer movie no matter the genre).

The range he has shown by playing contrasting characters like the ones he played in Band Baja Baraat, Lootera Dil Dhadakane Do, Bajirao, GullyBoy and 83 is commendable .

He was also terrific in his role as Khilji, since he truly looked very menacing on screen as a villain.

He can also pull off being a mass hero role in films Simba and Rocky Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Films like Circus, Gunday and Kill Dil did not work because of their insanely bad scripts.

Sadly due to his off/screen antics, his onscreen acting capabilities are often downplayed and ignored.

I find Ranbir and Vicky overrated for their acting "calibers" and "range". I also find both of them to be very pretentious, particularly Vicky for his "relatable", simple and "down-to-earth" image. Not saying he is a bad guy, but I just don't get his appeal.

I find Ranveer more real in that sense. He doesn't give a flying f*** about what people say about his antics. Although I agree that he takes it a bit too far sometimes and i hate it when he pretends to be an "outsider" in the industry which we all know that is not true.

Now that Rocky aur Rani is on prime video..I am again gushing over Rocky Randhawa..Ranveer is just excellent ..The day Ranbir can pull off something like Bajirao..we will talk ..Animal is coming so lets see if Bira has managed to do something different this time..otherwise I am just scarred after watching Brahmastra

Ranveer Singh is a superb actor and so versatile! Just look at his range of acting prowess. He has aced all kinds of characters and how!

He is far ahead in terms of talent. But, Ranveer’s offscreen clothing and acting is a bit too much though.

If I would have to venture a guess I would say that people don’t take him and his talent seriously coz of his clownish behaviour off screen.

Yes, I don’t think he should change to please others but he needs to tone down publicly and be mindful about what he does as people will judge him off screen.

I watched Band Baaja Baaraat almost 30 times when it first released and the way Ranveer portrayed a Delhi boy was top notch. He didn't miss a beat. He had me totally convinced he was born and brought up in Delhi (although I knew fully well, he was a Bandra boy). So yes, his calibre is incredibly high. Also, he was perfect as Murad... the way he shed his heroism, props to him for that! He is an excellent actor and deserves Don 3; my love and adulation for SRK aside.

I genuinely believe Ranbir has forgotten acting. He was terrible in Jagga Jasoos and Brahmastra. He has a lot to prove in animal. Especially, if he rightfully deserves the 'Superstar' tag.

As for Vicky, if he continues to do character and performance driven films, that guy can truly catapult to great success. He is talented but needs to work on his script choices.

I would put Vicky and Ranveer in the same league, though Ranveer sometimes tends to overact but he has proved himself as Rocky. They are both better than Ranbir when it comes to dialogue delivery. I think it also depends on the role too.

Vicky did outshadow Ranbir in Sanju. Ranbir has been stuck playing the overgrown manchild for some time now.

Ranveer is yet to explore negative shades as Vicky did in Raman Raghav. Let's see what he does in Don.

So, we have Ranveer, Ranbir, Vicky and Shahid...and each of them is talented and have acting prowess...differently from each other and not with always the same level of acting power (in the movies I've watched).

Outside their work also very different...and I like watching all the four
