DB didn't want her to find out before but now he does because he feels she has the right to know the truth and move on/free herself from the shackles of her father's past. Shobhna hates Bhumi but loves Prem so she wants to hide his sins. I think he used to be a mama's boy before he met Bhumi.

Dhanraj, goodness knows what he really wants. I think he keeps telling DJ he will prepare him but Dhanraj himself is power hungry, enough to not even want his son to have the throne while he's alive.
