Why he would die? I don't know any number of reasons going even beyond Ak. He lost his brother and his children. He lost his entire future. His mother was on her deathbed. He blamed himself for his brother's death. It's not all about Ak right? Obviously he also mourned her and mourned their relationship dying, whether or not he was responsible, he is still allowed to mourn. Just like whether or not Ak was responsible, she should have been allowed to mourn Neil.

And even before when Ak left, he became shell only, why would this be any different? He didn't divorce her because of some notion that it would make his life better. He divorced cause he was caught up in guilt of Neil's death and blames by everyone else towards Ak. He didn't choose family over Ak. He chose not to deal with Ak at that point and to get some distance. He made an impulsive and extreme decision. Not a well thought out logical one. Toh phir what is your problem? Why can't he be unhappy also?

His realization happened before temple confession only. He had the whole scene about Ak as sun and everything. He realized he was wrong to think that she was galat for him. She is the only one, so how can she be galat. How can their relationship be galat. It's all there, go watch that episode where he hallucinates Ak before his accident. That is what prompted him to go talk to her. He said "were past six years a lie" - cause he had been wrong on divorcing her. That is his realization of this.

At that point he did not realize what he did to her. Only that his divorce wala decision was wrong. Each big confrontation got him closer to his full realization. They have done it over and over again and stretched it too much. But basically this is the timeline :

Pre temple confession: realization that divorce was wrong, calling their relationship galat was wrong.

Temple confession: realization that in his anger he hurt her and left her alone, he should have been with her, he put his pain above her pain and didn't realize she was also in pain and needed him

Abhir's truth: realization that what those two calls were and how him ignoring them cost him six years of life with his son.

Nav's death aftermath: realization that Ak fought for him despite her grief and he should have done the same for her. Shouldn't have left her alone.

Manjari fire incident: realization how powerful guilt is and how it is to be blamed like that.

Bas aur kitna realization????

Ak has not realised a single thing not even her crime of BC fraud baaki toh jaane hi do

Usko defend karne wale hazaron hai just by holding divorce as a reason. But divorce hone se ye sach nahi badhal jayega ki uss din akshara ke wajah se 2 mauth hui thi. Jisme ek half uski galthi thi aur 2nd completely uska fault tha.

If baccha ithna pyaar nahi tha toh abhir ko kyun rakha apne pass. Abhir should stay with abhimanyu as she lost the rights to call her self as mother when her kid almost died and when she chose her ego than going back to goenka's.

Divorcing that goddess and asking her questions is the biggest paap so Abhi should suffer and he is not even allowed to be sad.

According to these people Abhi should leave his Brother's corpse, mourning and on verge of death mother and pregnant, widowed and shocked SIL and a other mourning and heart broken family members and mollycoddle his irresponsible wife for he self inflicted troubles! waah!

And these people behave as if Abhi was an Abuser who forced her to have babies and hit her and all. No he was nothing like that. He was a great husband if you remember on WD also he offered her water and told her to go to the room and take rest.

I dont see anything wrong in the death blames except the Sirat maa comment. Divorce toh I said earlier also I dont consider it. Matlab kuch bhi. Triple talaq thodi hai jo aise suddenly ho jayega. There are formalities. It is not a joke!

Her point was that he couldn't let her go cause he was scared. But he already let her go, when did he hold her? And for that matter Ak also let him go only after she heard he is getting married to Arohi. And after she gave so much big bhashans about moving on to him.

During the temple confession he asked her, how you moved on, and she said I moved on cause Nav is a good partner who respects me....but she hadn't actually moved on at that point. She just took whatever she said during the confession and made it her truth moving forward.

@bold: Exactly ….People keep hailing the mandir rejection as some great scene of Ak giving “apt reply” to Abhi but what I vividly remember from that scene is Ak telling many bald faced lies to contemptuously demean Abhi ….it didn’t matter to her whether her narrative was true or false.

She put it out there for the heck of it. Lol she had definitely not moved on with Nav at that point but still claimed to Abhi that she moved on cuz she found a great partner like Nav ….cuz literally a month after this scene, she was still shown having monologues about why didn’t she move on when she had a nice man like Nav with her. Lol she kept claiming things to Abhi that weren’t actually true but she forcefully followed through on them later. And at every point it was more about showing off to Abhi that look I moved on cuz I found a great guy and too bad you didn’t find anyone good to move on with

Ak could never comprehend that for Abhi, moving on wasn’t about finding another good or better person. His love doesn’t change based on finding “better options” ….his love remains the same cuz it’s the person he loves - not options laid out like a buffet ….this concept is beyond the understanding of “samajhdaar” and “strong” people like Akshara ji
