She’s not backed by any aggressive PR machinery or a big production house. Neither her nor Fatima were able to properly cash in on the success of Dangal, or maybe they weren’t guided properly. They either end up as leads in small films or small roles in big films.

Both of them are talented girls but seem to not have been able to catch that film or that role that tips things in their favor in a big way. Until that happens the likes of Dharma, Maddock, T-series etc will not offer them lead roles in their big movies.

I have seen Dangal, Meenakshi sundareshwar, badhai ho and now jawan.

Only dangal felt completely different as a performance. Jawan me bhi she was good. But nothing stand out.

I feel this forum makes a big deal out of her

Btw Fatima in modern love was wonderful.

Sanya has wonderful dancing skills and is a great representative of Curly hair.

They came together in Love Hostel, a Hindu-Muslim love story where Bobby Deol hunts them as per her family's wishes. But yes not a proper Bollywood love-story with song and dance. Sanya in Morni(Badhai ho) and Vikrant in LOL(Ginny weds Sunny) is the closest they've both come.
