He stayed fixated on Lanka as the venue even after repeated warnings by forecasters. This makes him greatly responsible for a chunk of the washouts.

6.55pm Large swathes of the outfield have been unveiled now. Shouldn't be long before all the covers are off.

Still better than playing in Pakistan. And helping a friendly board/country, which is in dire straight financially, is even better.
