if they had said it was inspired, most viewers here in IF would have come in with the right expectations. we would have not been surprised or disappointed at the major changes they made in viaan's character which basically changed the show 180 degrees. whenever makers claim it is official, people come in with certain expectations. ofcouse, we expect to see some localization but we are expecting to see the characters and essentially the same setup and conflict. there might be different interpretations from the actors but no so much it deviates. I really don't see why viaan had to be changed so much. it is not like we haven't had grey MLs in cinema or in dramas.

He lost his entire self ... OG that ML always had his draw backs and negative shades it he was different with his uniqueness but he loved her , with all his might !

Over here they turned Viaan nothing but a " robot" who is controlled by Katha ! The only person he gets angry now is his Mom .. He keep insulting and shouting at her 🙄

Viaan's Motto " I can ill treaty mother , she is insignificant , whatever it is at the end she has to do what I order!"

Maya from Paris totally lacks dignity , there were better ways to bring out the ONS , than these ladies doing " jasoosi"

Such disappointing tracks " repeating the same stuff"

Like every other ITV serial it also would have gained that audience and it would have been seen that way and nothing new would have been expected so no one would have been criticising the show for its typical ITV vamps drama...

But, that's not the case na bro... Show was advertised and promoted as something new, as a remake and that raised expectations of OTT-ITV modern janta who's sick and tired of same old plots and when the show is getting to same old style drama, it's nit easy to digest...

Besides, do you remember how Indian cricket team when plays bad they are bashed so harshly and when they play well they are just garnered with so much love and appreciation... Similar is the case here, show was appreciated too when the content was deserving and currently it's being criticised you know why...

I'm not saying you are wrong, if we see from you POV, as an independent show with it's own story it's okay or even good then but as for me, this seems like over stretched and unnecessary vamp drama for I don't know what...

Yeah, I understand you. The track in this show right now is not the best. Especially, with the overacting of Teji and Maya. Thanks for clearing out that your frustration is only because you don't want to see deviation from the orginal drama which you watched. Because, I was unable to connect with any of the frustrations and why it was getting compared for no reason. I understand your sentiment because, once you see something good, you set it as your benchmark.

But, I didn't knew anything about turkish dramas. Honestly, this is first show for me which I got emotionally invested into and genuinly got infatuated to it. I have watched many soap operas before (only indian ones) as we had a habit of watching TV during dinner. But, this one was definitely not like any other daily soap. Considering the way it is made, it doesn't even feel like a soap opera.

As far as I know, only ONS track is common between these two shows and rest is deviated. Reason for Viaan loving Katha is also different than that of between Onur and Seherzat. But, before knowing that, whatever appreciation came from me was due to the storyline itself without any expectations and still, I have no expectations. And, that is the story of majority of the fans of Katha Ankahee

Honestly, only problem right now is that they need to change their disclaimer and nothing else. Even if they added the line "Official Adaptation" just to capitalize on the popularity of the original show, it would have been fine with me as long as storyline remains good
