Chapter 4 made me cry especially when he was narrating the part about how he saw his son's death
That promise in the end had so many layers tho
Before starting to read the FF i thought it was about Duryodhan-Bhanumati bond....
Dod that necklace thing actually happen? I've been hearing about that for years....
Thankyou dear for responding on each part separately....
@bold no that is not mentioned in Mahabharat, in fact the name "Bhanumati" in itself does not appear in Mahabharat but in other texts, this necklace thing is a common folklore where there is also about Karna Bhanumati being close (platonic) friends. I wanted to explore on that angle. Often guy girl friendship is ignored and even at times looked upon with suspicion, but having guy best friends, I know how much it could matter, since that completes each other giving a completely opposite perspective and a person to discuss stuff you can't with your spouse.
I took lot of stuff from here and there, like the wives of Karna (their names are from Mritunjay novel and their background from what was shown in SPK serial-what to do not much known of his wives), Vrishketu himself is not mentioned anywhere expect Jaimini Bharat.
Also Karna's son Vrishsena was killed on day 17, immediately before the final Karna Arjun battle, I made him die on day 16 to create a scenario of Bhanumati feeling the need to meet Karna and give her some time for itbut the rest of the things mentioned including the brutality with which Arjun killed Vrishsena and mutilated each part of his body in the process, while mocking Karna (ensuring that he cant reach Vrishsena and attempt to save him) is exactly how its narrated in Mahabharat (even more, when Arjun actually attacked him without a warning while he was fighting Nakul and was about to kill Nakul after conclusively defeating him)
Sorry but I really feel for this guy, he was such a great warrior, Bheeshm listed him in the list of Maharathis from their side (only 2-3 people were kept in that category and none of Kauravas, Ashwathama, Jaidrath, Karna-few say Bheeshm deliberately kept Karna in low rank to down show him, were in that category), but he is completely forgotten, hardly people know his name, we remember Abhimanyu (and rightly so), but Vrishsena who was equal to him in every aspect if not more is forgotten.
Sorry for this long and unrelated post
@underlined really?? I mentioned Karna Bhanumati though, seems I write on completely unexpected pairs.
