Anyway guys, my reason for posting this was two fold. A) I found this funny B) It is also interesting because

Either in movies or real life as far as I've observed, couples with huge age differences (10 years or above) have a power differential that comes with age, with the older partner being the guiding force in the relationship. It's just like how we look up to our older siblings, the younger partner years for the older partner's validation and guidance. I find it interesting with Holmes and Sunny and their fraudulent start up. Holmes met Balwani when she was 18 and he 32. She was apparently at Stanford studying and then quit midway to start some biotech company (which turned out to be a billion dollar bust; more on that later). I think Holmes was bright and had a great idea for theranos but it was too ambitious with tech that hadn't been invented yet. She tried to be something she was not (wearing those black turtlenecks to resemble lady Jobs, changing her voice to sound more like a man) to sell that fraudulent crap. All the while Balwani was stringing her along being the COO. I think more often than not, when there is power differential that comes with age in relationships, the woman who is younger is doe-eyed and believes in cheesy messaging to win over the older male, who in her opinion is an experienced and worldly man who's seen more than of her of life.

The male is categorically detached or emotionally unavailable because he's lived all those cheesy phases of life before and finds it now exhausting (?) or males who go after younger woman are indeed emotionally unavailable (?). Because, I like to believe women in their late 20s or 30s usually want an expressive man in tune with their emotions. So, naturally its always the younger women who have just got into early 20s who consider an older detached man a prize (?)

I know I went on a huge cuckoo tangent here but I find this really interesting. 😆😆 Observe couples with huge age differences and tell me what you think. Any psychologist in the house? Get on this.
