First of all, let me just say, that the copyright laws in India are absurd and gives no respect nor royalties to the composers and lyricist who actually worked hard to create the songs... especially now with all this remakes, remix and recreation.

Thoughts?

I’d guess there’s a lot of Laws that exist there that don’t really benefit anybody 😆

T-series is the ring leader who use these laws to profit themselves, not caring at all about the artists that really made the songs what they are... and phir apne nepotism ka jhanda alag se lehra rahe hai

T-Series is also full of violent goons. They beat up Abhay Deol once. He had a black eye. Completely unbelievable how they get away with it.

T-series and YRF have been known to impose unfair contracts on the artists. When there's close to a monopoly like T-series operating, it's never good good for labour laws.

Actually that’s incorrect.

India has a Copyright Law which was amended and passed in the parliament in 2012. The IPRS pretty much works the same as PRS and ASCAP.

The problem is not the law, but music labels, who think they are God and can get away with it all. They didn’t even sudhro for years after the law passed.
