They're among the 150 odd people who were asked for their Top 5 Indian films. Final top 10 is based on which films got the most votes. Sabka top 5 is listed on the above link.

Ab Sara Janhvi bhi films select karenge.😵‍💫

Yes noted Hindi films like Pather Panchali, Iruvar, Nayakan, Charulata and Meghe Dhaka Tara in the list 🤣.

People who would otherwise struggle to pronounce 10 non-Hindi titles (forget about watch them) complaining about Hindi cinema is amusing 🤪.

5 films from regional languages and 5 hindi. Difference

There are those who pretend as cinephiles here just know the titles but have hardly seen Pather Panchali's, Charulata's let alone some of Ray's other work. If so then questions would be raise on this list.

So the most widely spoken language has the highest number of films? Shocking. 😲

There are those who contribute nothing to the forum apart from their substandard and asinine trolling. Their questions about any such lists cannot be taken seriously 😉.

Quite a few films are missing from that list on instagram, the ones that come to mind immediately from the ones I have watched in different languages, are

Tamas - a four hour Marathon movie on Partition that was converted into a Teleseries on Doordarshan

Sinhasan - Milestone Marathi political film, that is one of the best in it's genre and maybe one of the finest

Saamna - Another Marathi political film that is a s good as Sinhasan

Ghatashraddha - Girish Kasarvalli's Kannada masterpiece that deals with hypocrisy in the society when it comes to women. Nana Patekar gave a stellar performance in the Hindi remake "Deeksha".

Ek doctor Ki Maut - it deals with how bureaucracy forced a talented Doctor to leave India. If I recall correctly this Doctor was the first to carry out the test tube baby procedure.

ArdhSatya - This needs no introduction

Katha - Sai Paranjape's light hearted comic film

Chasme Buddor - This needs no introduction

and many more.

I doubt if many of the people who have been invited to list their best films, have even watched many of the films mentioned above, irrespective of how successful they have been.

So glad to see Guide on the list. Its the most underrated yesteryear film & a classic in the truest sense. Beautiful yet haunting.

A synopsis from Google. I would highly recommend it. I would put it #1 on the list, but that's just me.

A tour guide, Raju (Dev Anand), takes a serious-minded archaeologist, Marco (Kishore Sahu), and his beautiful but troubled wife, Rosie (Waheeda Rehman), on an excursion to look at ancient caves. Despite reservations, Raju is attracted to Rosie, even when he learns of her past as a prostitute. Rosie leaves Marco for Raju, but only tragedy awaits the new lovers. Raju spends time in prison, and upon release undergoes a spiritual transformation after villagers believe him to be a holy man.
