Same. The hype isn't worth it. It's such a boring one. I know it's too early to judge but for me first two episodes are enough to keep me hooked. And i didn't enjoy it.. I actually enjoyed watching Azekah more TBH in this one

Ikr?.most of the iconic and popular shows of ITV have angry MLs. I can't get the obsession. And the ones having Sunshine MLs neither get online hype or TRPs with certain exceptions offcourse.

I guess it is easy to write such characters to create friction/drama between the leads and the audience sees it as chemistry and loves it. Subtle writing with nuanced characters require more creativity which is probably lacking in itv.
