I would actually change the post war thing, Janmejay's Nagmedh Yagya. It should be instead that Janmejay hears about his ancestos and reaches out to Vyasa/Vaishampayan to know more about them

I really don't understand this how will Bheeshm being king change anything?? Obviously he would have retired from the throne some day. And whenever he did there would have been a battle between next generation, Dhritraashtra would have still been side tracked. Unless we are sure that Bheeshm's children wouldn't have been blind/Pandu like there wouldn't have been any difference

Objectification I agree, not just Draupadi I was against Yudhisthir staking his thousands of Dasis too

They waited for 14 years after VH too.

Even after the VH they agreed to play another game of dice (which led to their exile) they still did negotiate to get back their state... had VH been a trigger this shouldn't have happened

Had Duryodhan returned their kingdom, there wouldn't have been a war, so it was about land for them (at least definitely for Yudhisthir), Draupadi's issue was just secondary

So they used VH as an excuse to fight the war? Like fighting such a huge level war doesn’t make sense if you are doing it for property, you could have simply killed the person, but no they ended up fighting a huge war which killed thousands of people so they needed a safeguard from the accusations which were about to come and for that they waited for 14 years to show how much of an injustice it was, they used VH and this agyat Vyas to justify their need of throne
