Mumbaikar here and I agree with everything you say.

Most dumbf***s here have their definition of whats “cool” and “happening”, and they live in their own stupid bubble where they assume the rest of the Indian population functions the same way as them.

The fact remains that majority of the audience still enjoys massy films with songs like the ones they remaked. Pseudo intellectuals chose not to believe that and frankly speaking their opinions don’t even matter. Tbh most Mumbaikars can’t even tolerate their bs 😆

Coming to the movie itself, I haven’t being paying attention to many movies since a couple of years…barring something like Super Mario or Barbie. My interests have changed and BW honestly hasn’t made me want to spend my money. So I didn’t look up trailers or keep in touch…but the minute Udh Jaa Kaale Kaawa released I knew Gadar 2 would become a blockbuster. The same cast was important…but getting Udit to sing his songs along with not tampering with it too much was where they got it right.

That being said, I might go and watch it post 15th August after all! If my lazy butt allows me to 😆
