Abhira : The self-respect queen
Yes. Pranali Rathod.
do you know why I shipped RuJay even after his cheating act, I have seen that happening in real life and trust me it’s so different from what we think it is, you can still have your happiness, forgive and move on but don’t forget and trust is how this works, trust is a gradual process, it does not come with a relationship neither does respect comes from a title, I have dealt with this manhandling and cheating stuff enough to know this that it is not the end of anything, it is a phase, and at the end of the day we can have different views because that’s how a society function but we can’t judge a person for doing the thing we won’t, I would understand if Ruhi would forgive DJ in future and will move past every bad thing because at the end of the day it’s not my decision to make, it’s hers. I may not agree with it or I may but that’s the limit of my indulgence in that relationship and life and same goes with everyone, people making different choices than they should doesn’t make them toxic, us not accepting their decision is where toxicity enters at least for me.
Yes we want things to happen in some way, but that's not how actually it happens in real life. That is the reason why probably we want our ideal fantasies to come true in fiction. The truth is that there is 90% chance that any girl/woman in Ruhi's place(be she he from a lower class or an upper class), will accept her husband if he tries to return(we have had cases of Amitabh Bachchan Jaya Bhaduri Rekha) but that doesn't change the fact that it's not what is right. This isnt what I want in fiction, fiction for me is an escape from reality an ideal world, where people do what they should do(either good or bad) not how they actually would behave. That is why we want happy endings though hardly there are happy endings in real life. I was annoyed at DB's over fanboying Yuvika, but his response post the AV instance for next two episodes made me further sad and I wanted him to become his normal self again although we all know that's something which will never happen in reality....
The reason I objected your thoughts on RuJay wasn't because I felt it shouldn't happen or because I wanted to judge you, but simply because I didn't want this wrong precedence to be shown in TV as something ideal... I am still not completely against RuJay but want it only if DJ understands this relationship and not because he needs a rebound...
At least in fiction I don't want men to have an option of enjoying outside and having a wife in house to fall upon, when and how needed
Will reply on Drona part in another post...
And now come to Drona, so he has Choice and he made the choice what was best for him, then why the hell people show that he was forced to make that choice? This forceful glorification is what makes me angry, there is nothing wrong in thinking selfishly accept that and move on instead of making a guy take the blame of everyone’s decision🤔
Especially if we speak of Drona he definitely had lesser power than Bheeshm and more at stake than Bheeshm... I mean had Bheeshm objected there was no doubt that his words would have been final and worst (even that I doubt) what would have happened to him was Duryodhan would have started giving precedence to Karna over him.
Drona on the other hand, had a chance to get countered had he spoken, if not by Duryodhan then at least definitely by Karna, also he had much to lose, if he got against Duryodhan and Kurus meant that even if they dont personally do him anything wrong, they wouldn't whole heartedly support Drona in case he is attacked by Drupad (which was by the way a constant fear for him) and that clearly meant his loss in this war.
So for him after seeing Bheeshm Textsilent, I don't think he would have even thought to respond...
Also please note that the supposed discussion wasn't about whether or not VH was right. No one, not even Vidur who was a Dharma Neeti expert and was vocal against KaDuDuNi evil act in support of Draupadi said a word about. The only contention was whether or not Draupadi is a Dasi, if she was one then no one could stop them from doing the VH or whatever they wanted to do with her...
It was actually the Dharma of a Dasi to please the owner in the way they want(I know it's very wrong but that is how it was)
I will personally blame Drona much less here than I did to Bheeshm. Undoubtedly he could have spoken like Vidur or Vikarna but the results might not have had been much different, and also his not saying a thing is much more understandable.
Also I only blame them for staying silent in Dice Hall, final battle they could have chosen anyone and yet wouldn't have been wrong because both the parties had their merits and demerits... I really feel that there is nothing wrong if they chose to fight Duryodhan (out of selfishness or not) because there was nothing wrong in what Duryodhan was fighting for.
Please tell me your view on their siding Duryodhan in final battle, do you think they were wrong to support him in final battle?
Ok now coming to your second part, who show that he was forced? TV makers right, Vyasa or Vaishampayan never did that. And these TV makers are the same who make Karna the epitome to goodness and sacrifice (though he was neither), who brought a fictional angle that Yudhisthir was forced to play the game of dice and stake his brothers (though it wasn't)..who show that Duryodhan ordered for Draupadi Vastraharan and Karna disliked this order (my father was of the view that Karna left the dice hall when VH was ordered unless I told him that it was him to ordered for it), who show that Shakuni played a mastermind or Duryodhan was aggressive and indecent to elders. Or that people were happy in Duryodhan's reign/liked him as prince because he showered them with money. All false statements...
Today people often say Dhritraashtra wanted to make his incapable son the king, although Vyasa is clear that Duryodhan was probably among the most capable kings the kingdom had for generations.
The shows have made a rule that everything wrong would have been done by Duryodhan and Shakuni (with Duhshashan) and others if did a thing bad, it must be because there were forced/under a vow... Just their way to do a black and white of Mahabharata characters, something that Vyasa despite repeatedly telling in words (only to Pandavas and Kauravas) never practically implied.
I don't like this either but that's how it is. I have been name called by people to say Shakuni wasn't that bad. They call me Adharmi or Duryodhan lover if I say that Duryodhan always spoke politely and respectfully to elders or that he was a great king. People aren't able to accept that a villian could have such positive traits. I remember there was a Twitter trend against BORI because they had told in their Mahabharata lecture series that Duryodhan was virtuous in his sense.
People want to believe that it's good to the core and bad to extreme, and show makers play to it...
Poor Duryodhan and Shakuni have to bear the burnt of this
Thank you 🙂

I don't think there's any deep reason for Drona to side with Duryodhan other than the reason you mentioned ...he might've een 2 sides and picked one , i think Duryodhan 's army was bigger right? Maybe he thought Dury would win and let him side with the winning side....
Omg you were called adharmi and Duryodhan lover? You're surrounded by people who are really passionate about MB ig ( not that being passionate about MB is wrong but this is such an extreme reaction to call anyone as adharmi and all ) I've told some people including my mom about how Karn ordered VH and how Yudhisthir was wrong in Duyt, sure they are shocked for a second but after a couple of mins they get bored with the topic and say "so be it , what use is this extra knowledge going to do?" and move on to the next topic of discussion. Maybe they do it out of denial of accepting that their "heroes" are wrong but personally i think no one in my age group or my family is actually interested in these stuff except for me ( they have their personal Mahabarat fights to worry about🤣) ...so i don't even have anyone to talk about these stuff except over here in I-F....
True more than Duryodhan, Shakuni had to bear the brunt for everthing when he barely did anything...
As far as Drona not helping Draupadi is concerned;
Everyone in MB were misogynist and that's how people were back then , they veiwed women as status symbol and nothing else.......they took a board game waay too seriously and followed the rules to the teet...also he might've not helped her for the reason you stated... wish Vyasa had given explaination for these sort of stuff ornwere they lost in translation?
In SPMB during the VH sequence they went so far to show that even Bheeshm and Vidur curse Duryodhan for what he was about to do 🤦

@bold yes true. I feel the same as well. But I wanted to ask do you think Drona was wrong to side with Duryodhan?
@pink no these people aren't my family or real world friends, this was about people who heard my Youtube podcasts...And yes are pretty judgemental
@green, this is funny if you ask me. So you don't stop a thing because of a vow(I am saying just about as they showed) and then curse the culprit?? It would have been better if you would have actually fought to save the girl...
Rest I agree, I think none of them took Draupadi's miseries important enough to be practically worked upon, also going by those days things, they might have thought if her husband don't care why should we...
I actually think Vyasa not telling why someone did/not did a thing was because he personally couldn't have gathered all these information. Itihas is about recording things how it happened and nothing else..

I don't think he was wrong to pick Dury, he did what felt right for him so 🤷

People in social media sites are the worst! ( some people). They think that hiding behind a weird username instantly warrants them with the power to say anything 😡

Responses in bold...
It’s not only ITV, I am talking about in general like I told you there are poetries on these characters and those who own the channels claim that they know the real deal, they also rebukes ITV to support their claims, I am talking about those people who claims that they want to make aware the world about real MB, but ends up doing the same thing like ITVOriginally posted by: FlauntPessimism
